When did you start liking Super Mario Galaxy

So I'm around halfway done with Super Mario Galaxy and I'm not going to lie, it took me a while before I really started enjoying it?

Around what galaxy did YOU start loving SMG (assuming you liked it in the first place)? I'd have to say Dusty Dune Galaxy and Bowser's Dark Matter made me really like it

I liked it after the first couple of levels. Tragically, I haven't been able to playit for months and months because it fell down the back of a book case that's sealed into the wall. Now, do I try to dismantle the bookcase or do I just give in and buy another copy?

The moment I saw the trailer at GDC 2007, in which miyamoto made me love him again after the gamecube's horrible death...

I loved it as soon as I started it ... great game from the start IMO

i thought it was going to be boring, but when the second level started, i started to have second thoughts...

I didnt really like the first level but then once it got into it I loved it

I never disliked the game at all, but I was a few levels into it before I realized that it was really something special.

The first level made me want to throw up but I weathered the storm and got used to it for the rest of the game

I liked from start to finish. It was great game, easily one the best for the system.

I say go with the former. The latter just seems pointless when you already have a copy that works.

When I played the Walmart demo.

the only thing thats been constantly annoying me about it is the hub world...i mean, they could've made it a less obvious hub world like the castle in SM64

I would have to say exactly the same time as you. I first played it and announced it as Crap! I didn't play it for like 3 months...Finally i was soo bored i played it again...kept giving it chances...Now it is one ofmy Favorite Wii games!

Same goes for Prime 3. It took me a year and a half to beat it lol!

Actually, I recall playing it at Wal-Mart around Christmas before I owned the system. I personally hated the game. After I got my Wii I decided to give the game a try after hearing all the positive feedback and plus the fact that it was a Mario game.

After getting it I played it for a little while and didn't really like it. I got a bunch of games and stopped playing it for a little while and decided to go back to the game and give it another game. Playing it this time I absoltely loved the game and I'm not really sure what it was that made it different, but I had more time to dedicate to it and really paid more attention and it was just an awesome game. I think the round that totally sold the game for me was the bee round, I just really liked it.

I'm glad I got the game even after playing it and not liking it and gave it a second go because it is an awesome game.

Exact same moment for me... My nerdgasm moment was definitly in the toy galaxy.. the second the old-skool theme struck up I was a little kid on an NES again.

really wasn't that impressed... nicest looking game on the wii, but it just seemed way to short and the levels to small. i was finished with it before i could appreciate it.

As soon as you controlled mario the music kicked in and got me really excited. I wasn't expecting orchestrated music!Which reminds me, I must find the Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack!
