I was just wondering what people do when turning off their Wii. Do You Leave the game inside your system when you turn it off or do you eject the game before shutting it down? just wondering because I don't leave the game inside of mine and i wondered if leaving the disc inside will hurt the system. Thanks

It really won't make any sort of difference at all, don't worry about it. Take it or leave it in, the system still isn't doing anything with it when it's off.

I don`t think it harms the system. But I always eject the games and put them on their boxes before turning the system off.

It's better to pack the discs in their respective boxes, it's a lot more arranged, and you'll always know where you left youre games. And if you leave the game in the Wii theire's even a tiny, tiny, tiny possibility that it might somewhat hurt the system.

Hope I helped.:P

If I plan to play the game next time I boot up my system I will of course leave it in the system. Why would I take it out and put it back in?

I don't understand why people would even consider the possibility of it doing harm to the system. It's just sitting in there. No different than if it was in the box.

For video game consoles, I just leave the disc in cause so far nothing's bad happened.

But for my laptop, if I have a cd in the disk drive I always take it out before turning it off or putting it in sleep mode or whatever. Cause one time when I was younger, my laptop broke while my Mega Man X5 game was in there and I was really pissed and then I forgot what happened to the laptop but I couldn't take the disk out and never got it back and got kinda pissed so I learned my lesson. >.>

According to the manual, it is always recommended to remove the disc when the console is not in use.

If you have WiiConnect24 I'd take the game out cause the Wii gets warm and can border on hot but that's just me. I have WiiConnect24 off though.

Usually depends, sometimes I take out the disc if I plan on playing a different game later, or if I'm just lazy after playing so much, I just leave it in. Either way, I don't think it really affects the system.
