I trust VGCharts far more than nexgenwars, and according to them it already has. Rather immaterial, though.

the wii has already surpassed 6 million and its only going to keep going, gamestop in my town got in 18 wii's yesterday morning and they sold out within 10 minutes.

this is insane who would ever have thought that in such a short ammount of time the wii could have dominated so quickly.... i myself got one for gameplay features but damn never thought it would take off this fast... i see it going way above xbox 360 before the year ends

hey it may not matter to nintendo but it will definatly shatter other company's confidence to think that nintendo was on the break of just becoming another sega and here they are just out insanly selling like never before

good point, they rly saved themselves with the ds and wii b/c they were such great new ideas

They have already passed six million. Weeks ago a Japanese tv commercial thanked the Japanese people for buying 1.5 million wiis. With the number of wiis sold each week past that commerical the wii has sold more then two million units in Japan while the PS3 has barely reached a million. The wii is incredibly supply restrained the PS3 is not due to lackluster sales. From what people are saying the Nintendo World Store gets in 50-100 wiis a day and they sell out each day.
