Well, how do you have it set up?

Everytime I want to play my Gamecube games on my Wii, it's always such a pain to hook it up, because I have to turn it horizontally and pull it out and then take out the flaps.. Anyone else find this problem annoying? And if I keep it vertical, I'm always worried if someone walks by or if I get frustrated I yank at my Gamecube controller and the Wii comes crashing down. >.> Suggestions?

My Wii is vertical when I play GameCube. Its exposed at the top though so all I have to do is open the flaps. Its also in a low traffic area so I dont have to worry about it falling over.

Use the clear plastic stand that came with the system. That will give it more support.

Vertical. I have two Wavebirds, and that works out well because the bulk of the time my Wii is being used for a GC game it's only one or two players. I took two of my regular GC controllers and cut their cords, then I spliced telephone wire into them, so they have really long cords. This way, I don't have to move the Wii down off its shelf if we want to play four player GC. I still get nervous when my kids walk too close to the cords, but at leastthey only have two cords to trip over, not four.
