i have and beat pretty much all available nintendo games (NSMB, Yoshi, MKDS, MPH,...) i was looking at nintendo's lineup for ds in the coming months and TBA games, and the only ones of interest are pokemon and zelda.while those are great games, when is nintendo going to release a new platformer? NSMB rocked in sales for several months, so why not expand on the success and make a sequel? or a new mario game where mario gets to ride yoshi?
I was feeling a bit the same..but I know Nintendo isn't loosing it.. You were right...this year...practically all im looking foward to get is Zelda and Pokemon...but u STILL missed a few games. The games you missed to mention was Pheonix Wright 3 AND Guitar Hero DS....don't worry...its still the beginning of 07...the're at least gonna make 10 great hits on the ds!

Second party games to look forward to include Ouendan 2. Also looking forward to Ace Attorney 3.

I do believe you made a mistake with what you meant in your post. GF is a second party company. Meaning they aren't nintendo, but are owned by nintendo. And the games you listed as second party games are third party games.
where have you been , nintendo has released a game or two from every one of thier franchises , mariokart ds super mario 64 ds new super mario bros  mario vs dk 2 tetris ds metroid prime hunters pokemon in fact the only series not brought to the ds yet are zelda(which is coming) and f zero    which this list isnt even complete. ds has several years to go , mario vs luigi 2 yet another good game , right now just stop basing your opinion off a list of games you probably havent played .
nintendo doesnt need to focus on just ds they did release the wii didnt they not im still waiting for marioparty 8 mario galaxy and driver paralell lines but we got ppl like you who complain to nintendo that , you want more ds or gc games , its called patience nintendo cant do 2 things at once, they do one at a time, the wii is nintendos priority, if they indeed wanna take back the market the way they had it back in the 90s Â
I don't know if you look at the new releases section there's some hopeful titles at least. I scribbled down about 20 upcoming releases that might interest me if they end up with good reviews and feedback. It'll be lucky though if about 5 of those are any good. I'm pretty much trying to buy one new game a month so each month I'll have something that is bound to be at the top of my list. ---agree with who just said Jump Ultimate Stars- just got it and was a little worried I'd be disapointed but it's great!  I think it's still $39. at Play Asia.

Tell me if I'm wrong but I didn't think gamefreak has made a pokemon game for a non-nintendo console before. Hal makes Smash Brothers. Retro Studios makes Metroid Prime. Whats your point? They're all 'part' of nintendo so whether or not they have different names doesn't really matter (unless Microsoft buys them).Â

which means they aren't first paty because Nintendo didn't make them, making them second party because Nintendo owns Gamefreak.
