Does anyone else think that 1 new Wii Channel Since launch is a bit low? I wish the Wii would allow 3rd party Wii-channels. It would really jump-start the stagnant Wii interface. Opinions anyone?
Honestly i could care less, i dont use any of the channels now, and honestly find them quite pointless. Now with that check mii out channel coming out it really doesnt look so good. Plus I need all the memory I can get for the VC games that i get.

I count more than one, their usefulness is somewhat debateable, but you can browse the internet and vote on random things. They've announced one more at least, and probably more to come.
I bet after Wii ware comes out then we'll get third party Wii cannels and it's not 1 new channel it's 4. Everybody votes, internet, whether, news.[/QUOTE
Actually, I'm only really counting 1. The Internet, News, and Forecast channel were all mentioned before hand. And the Wii Vote Channel totally sucks anyway.

The internet channel is the only one worth anything. They need an RSS feed channel... and an internet radio channel, and a few other channels besides the voting channel. Everyone Votes, but Nobody Cares.
I think they should update the Mii Channel by giving it more customization features. Like more hair colors, eye colors, hair options, etc... For hair styles, they could incorporate scissors that you can cut your mii's hair and style it. And give more skin color options for people that want to make aliens or something. Although by doing this, it would defeat the purpose of the simplicity of the Mii's.....but it would still be cool. They should add a music channel of some sort. And a demo channel would be the most amazing addition ever.
How about introducing some DVD playback to the Wii. It wouldn't be hard to do, just release a "Movie disc channel" and sell it for the 5 bucks. There really is no excuse why they don't have one now.
Reggie annoucned the check Mii out channel that lets you rate other people Mii's I working on a No.6 Mii form Battlestar galactica. Too much time on Mii hands i thinks

Wii channels, who needs them,if you have the internet and you do b/c you wouldn't have wii channels without it. I don't see the point of browsing the internet with the wii, its really dumb b/c you have to point to type and you can't save anything b/c of the lack of hard drive. C-mon a 512mb hard-drive, nintendo you can do a lot better than that. If you make hard drive that small, whats the point of even having a hard drive. i can find flash drives with 2gigs of memory for 20 bucks and they're too cheap to put in a real hardrive
I find the chanels now are pretty worthless besides internet chanel! I have all the ones available including the newest (evrybody votes). I realy hope they bring a DEMO CHANEL where you can download and try games! Weell I hope they do something cool because I am waiting impatiently for something online that has interaction wwith other people arround the globe!

Why? Thats my question... I've got 4 DVD players in my house right now, what is one more going to do for me? Besides a DVD player is one more thing that could go bad on the Wii. And how is it possible to release a "Movie disc channel" when the Wii needs the hardware for a DVD player before it can actually be used as one.

I'm assuming those Wii discs are DVDs, which would give it all the hardware they need to do it.
