Most of the games that I'm looking forward to the Wii this year are first party games by Nintendo.  But what about 3rd party exclusives?

Good exclusives at the top of my head are: No More Heroes, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (maybe), is that all?

Other than RE4 for the GC, what other 3rd party exclusive was a "system seller" or must buy?  All I'm seeing is alot of "kiddie" games.  Don't get me wrong, I love the mario games and such, but the Wii is still being overpopulated with these types of games and not enough mature games.

Battalion Wars 2 is made by Nintendo, it aint 3rd party. But, the Wii is getting it's fair share of 3rd party games, much more so than the cube. There are lots of really good 3rd party games out right now(maybe not killer apps but they're really good none the less) games like SSX Blur, Sonic, Trauma Center, COD 3, Tiger Woods.... they're all good games. I think come E3 (I forget what it's now called) we'll see a whole slue of great 3rd party games. And don't forget the sequel to NiGHT's, thats gonna rock.

I think you're right but I think devs will start announcing things soon. I'm kind of disappointed right now in 3rd party games.

I know it isn't exclusive and it's a port but I really really like The Godfather, because I didn't play it on any other system and the game is just huge with lots of side missions to do, love it! :D

As for wii exlusives I'm getting somewhat scared that Resident Evil: UC might be a kind of updated port of other Resident Evil games, man I hope im not right about that. Im also trying not to get my hopes up to much for No More Heroes, though it probably will be great.

You may want to look more. Several exclusive wii games have been announced such as Treasure Island Z and several koei and other capcom wii titles. Lots of the wii titles are still under wraps. It takes a year or two for games to come out nowadays.

Nintendo consoles have been really lacking 3rd party support since the N64 era. So far the Wii looks to be more of the same. I know there will be a few 3rd party gems here and there but compared to the other guys the list is still weak.

Blame the third party devs for thinking a 600 dollar console would be a top seller that they would be able to recoup the game costs on it.

Here's a few more upcoming exclusive 3rd party games...

Bomberman Land Wii, Boogie, Bust-a-Move Bash!, DDR: Hottest Party, Destiny of Zorro, Dewy's Adventure, Dragon Quest: Swords, Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace, Fist of the North Star: Wii, Mercury Meltdown Revolution, Midnight, MySims, Naruto: Clash of MVZ, NiGHTS Wii, Opoona, Orb, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Sadness, Samurai Slash (Sengoku Musou Wave), Shoot Out, Sword of Legendia, and Thorn.

And yes, these are ALL exclusives as of right now.

Alot of the games listed here look like, and probably will be crap.  Samurai Slash looks terrible and some of these titles are being released in Japan for now.

It's still early in the year, but aside from DDR, I am not impressed with this list of 3rd party exclusive games at all.

When was the last time Nintendo had this great 3rd party game that everyone bought their system for?  RE4 was amazing but too late in the systems life to save it.  The last one I can think of is Goldeneye and that's 2nd party.

See now you're just being difficult

You asked for the games, now since you asked for the games you're not really the person who would have any idea about any of the games so you're in no position to say if they "look" good or not.

Also you could have horrid taste, if a game doesn't look good to you then don't buy it. You not liking a game doesn't dictate the game for the rest of the consumer base.

What it sounds like is that you really have to apply being a responsible consumer  to yourself. You've demonstrated that you've failed to your homework when it comes to the consolse so far. I think it's in your best interest to take a little time and see what's coming and if you'd be interested in the titles (AFTER you know what the games are of course, not the guess you did up there)

At the end of the day the vast majority of complaints coming about the library is directly placed at the complainer himself/herself. There are too many outlets for everyone to research games and know what's coming. We have game details years in advance in some cases and at the very least we have the majority of release titles for any given year. You're using this forum, taking 15 minutes on the rest of the site will give you an overview of the console in the next few months.
