Nintendo has soo many established franchises that will sell millions everytime they release but when it comes to the video game industry theres always that game that people consider the next best thing. For example Gears of War is a brand new ip started from scratch and it had such amazing graphics, gameplay and online it sold millions . Nintendo needs a game like this. It needs a game that pushes the wii's graphical capabilities, has amazing fluent motion sensitive gameplay, and the most addictive online play ever. Maby after retro studios finishes up mp3 they can work on a new ip first person shooter . nintendo can provide it with a load of advertisment . and retro is soo skilled and they made a good online experience on the ds, a very weak system, imagine what they can do with a more powerful system . i mean you never know nibris game sadness could be the game were looking for but when we heard of the controller you know it and i know it fpses was the first thing that came to mind. they need to take advantage of this .
Well the thing with GoW and Halo is that they're really hyped up by Microsoft and for some reason Halo was the game that really pushedthe xbox(no idea why). GoW was more hyped around it's amazing graphics really but it's quite shallow at the end of the day(i'm not trashing it, I own 360)
Another fairly obvious but exciting nonetheless possibility would be a Star Wars fps. I can see that if such a game was put into production it would get tons of attention. If Lucasarts could actually pull it off it would absolutely make the system.  Still another possibility is the excercise route.  If the Wii could pull off a game that actually makes getting off your butt long enough to show actual health benefits it would go along way towards making the system. Granted this isn't exactly what gamers care about but it would sell like crazy. Â
both Halo and Gears didn't release a few months after their respective consoles' launches. Wait a year or two.evil_tormentor
Halo:CE was a launch title for the Xbox. If you're searching for a robust Online/Multiplayer thing for Nintendo, Brawl will probably become the Killer App for the system. I'd love for Retro to go back and revisit some of the titles they left behind to work on MP. Speaking of which. Retro didn't develop MP:Hunters. NST did, they did other things such as Mario vs Donkey Kong and the upcoming Project HAMMER.

or if they made a zelda battle online, i mean make it like gears on Zelda it would be fun

No, just .... no. Strict competitive Zelda would be more of Nintendo shooting themselves in the foot than nothing online would be. However, if they had an online Zelda similar to Four Swords, then that would work pretty damn well.

Ive actually been thinking about a star wars fps. It would be pretty frickin sweet. The wii remote could be used for a light saber, as well as a blaster or laser. Star wars would be a perfect fit for the wii.

nintendo doesn't need any of thing that relate to halo and gears of war. Now if ur talking about a shooter that has to be better than them two ok i see what u mean
ok I just said this on another thread. Wii just came out give it a year or two xbox 360 didn't have gears of war until way after its launch and nintendo didn't do so good with the gamecube so give them some time to make a hit for wii. Â
