[edit] The title of this thread should be "Where to now" not "Where to know" [/Edit]

Ok we all know that Metroid Prime is a trilogy and with the release of Metroid Prime 3, that trilogy is over.

What i now ask is, where to from here? Will we see another Metroid on the Wii (not under the Metroid Prime name), or will there be some sort of spin-off on the DS? Or will we be waiting for a new Nintendo system before we see Samus again?

Metroid will be seen again, although not as Metroid Prime. I doubt this will come this generation though, unless it goes back to the DS.

Yeah see thats where this could become an interesting topic, because there are so many potential possibilities for the series.

Im sure fans would love to see another game on the Wii.
Spin-offs are cropping up all the time these days so thats a potential possibility
The next system is a long way off, that might get up gamers noses if they dont see a new game until then

Technically its a quadrilogy. since there are four titles, including hunters.
But I just think it's probably going to just go back to 2d platformers. Most likely exclusively on the DS.

Being that there were two metroid games on the GC. I think we should be seeing another one on the Wii, not anytime soon though... I really hope they make a new 2D DS Metroid though, its about time already...

The thing is that Nintendo has a lot on it's plate at the moment as far as game development is conserned, so I think that it'll be a long time before they get to another metroid game, long enough to say that it would be on another console.

thats fine, im not expecting anything immediately, it would mean theyre rushing, and therefore less of a quality experience

Im more referring to the long term
