I would suggest to buy sonic colours, sonic and the secret rings(if you can handle the steep learning curve because of the controls and the leveling system, but the game is really fun once you get to at least around level 60).

Well sonic is a good place to start as I've played generations. Thanks for the suggestions!

Don't buy sonic and the black knight or sonic riders zero gravity.

I've heard about those! The HD twins had riders. Which Zelda would you start with personally? Start with, I can't wait now I'm out of denial to play the heck out of both! :D

I'm not a big fan of the zelda franchise so ask someone else.

For some good starter games to give you a taste of the system, go with:

  • Xenobalde Chronicles
  • The Last Story
  • Mario Kart Wii
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • New Super Mario Bros Wii
  • Red Steel 2
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

For sure, definitely one of the greatest RPGs ever, I think it's worth it to buy a Wii for just that game :P

Here's some of my other recommendations:

Super Mario Galaxy 1/2

Mega Man 9/10 and World of Goo on Wiiware

Red Steel 2

Metroid Prime 3

Donkey Kong Country Returns

Geometry Wars Galaxies

Super Smash Bros Brawl

New Super Mario Bros Wii

Mario Kart Wii

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition

The Last Story when it comes out in NA
