I've heard, and I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong, that Majora's Mask can't come out because it used the N64 expansion pak. DDRMomi don't see why thats true, the wii's specs should be good enough to still emulate it.
cant come because it you cant save on the game without a expansion pack or something Moonknight_1209Thats just a rumor (unless there is an article i havent read). I think nintendo could do it eventually. even if the expansion pack prevents it nintendo could still think of a way around it.
It has nothing to do with saving the game, the expansion pak added ram which allowed greater visuals. theres no reason why they couldn't work it out for vc, unless wii can barely handle emulating regular n64 games. but from my experience(only have paper mario) it emulates n64 with ease, so the whole rumor about them not being able to put majoras mask or donkey kong64 on vc is pure bs in my eyes. the ram upgrade was 4mb to 8mb, i dunno what that means in terms of emulating but thats not a huge jump.
from wiki:
"The Expansion Pak is a RAM add-on for the Nintendo 64 game console, released in 1999. It doubles the total amount of RAMBUS RDRAM in the Nintendo 64 from 4MB to 8MB. This allows for greater screen resolution, more detailed graphics, and a higher frame rate."
