Was the wii+ only made for marketing concerns? Any great games on the horizon for this? Seems Wii games do not need the + to sell or help in controls? At least we have golf and redsteel 2

i reckon during 2011 we might see wii+ used more often to compete with kinect and move. but tbh even though a lot of gamers may see wii as perhaps inferior in respect to ps3 and xbox 360, it will always outsell its competitors since there are far more casual gamers in the world than there are who actually take part in gaming as a hobby (i don't want to use the term hardcore gamer lol)

Yeah add ons are like that, the ram pack for the N64 barely saw any action but what it did have on it was pretty great.

the vision camera for xbox 360 was the best example of an add on being hyped and then dropping out of existence dramatically. the wii+ may very well go the same way

I think the reason we have so few motion plus games is because motion plus has such a small install base. It could be seen as a risky option, releasing something that exclusively uses motion plus as it costs more for people to play such games if they don't already have it. Zelda may swing things around a little bit, but I suspect few games will ever use it.

I haven't bothered to buy Motion Plus yet. I'm waiting for Skyward Sword, as I'm reasonably sure Motion Plus will be packaged with that game.

This. Add ons never seem to do well because they don't have the same install base as the actual system. So companies don't make games for them, so players have no reason to buy the add on, so they keep at a low install base. Its a vicious circle.

I don't really like that Motion Plus isn't being Used much.

I mean Red Steel 2 was amazing with it.

However most of my Games don't need Motion + like Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Monster Hunter Tri, Metroid Other M, Metroid Prime Trilogy, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, Wario Land Shake it!, Samurai Shodown Anthology, A Boy and His Blob, Guitar Hero 5, and Animal Crossing City Folk.

I mean I really don't see how Motion Plus could help with the games I mentioned.

Well maybe they could have added the support for it and make something similar that Nintendo is doing with Zelda but then again C. Controller Pro was made for that game.

Now I think Motion Plus would help games like Wario Ware Smooth Moves, Mario Party 8, Mario Kart, and SoulCalibur Legends

I don't think Conduit needs a Motion Plus but we'll see in Conduit 2.

But anyway that's my 2cents on the case.

the thing is that they don't "need" to have 1:1 movement with wm+. they can use it to simply avoid miss reading of motions. I got two of them bundled with games, and the games that used them are great. it is a shame to see it not being pushed more. I have a feeling nintendo is trying to get more out there now that it's bundled with consoles and built into wiimotes. I think at this point the degree to which we see it's implementation will be related to the wii's lifespan. now that it is bundled in consoles soon many many wii owners will have it. Also with move I think will see some multi-platform games sharing the peripheral.

uh,. theres quite some WM+ games, sports games use it profoundly, besides RS2 , swords and others.yeah its used more often really And Zelda of course. The rest of games still use motion controls, just not wm+ yet. It still is an amount of games that will never be reached by move or kinetic at this point in cicle.

yet fanboys are claiming that ps3move sucks because of few games compared to wii , but they forget that there arent much more motion+ supported games either , there is also a tiny difference that any ps3 game can be technically patched for move support like heavy rain and resident evil 5for example(something impossible on wii to increase the M+ library)

AmnesiaHaze
that wont happen tho.lets face it, they are not gonna implement patches to make heavy rain compatible with move. The gadget isnt selling too well *so far*and the sales arent increasing. Will kinetic go the same line? In any case, you gotta remember that 100% of wii games are already compatible with motion controls. No need to backwards patches anyway. WM+ is an enhance in motion controls, whereas move is motion controls to an analog based system. So you shouldnt compare them.

Wha.... they HAVE patched Heavy Rain for use with Move. I would say Move is selling rather well and its only been out for a few weeks. I invested in M+ the day it came out. I thought , finally the Wii is going to live up to the motion control promise. Tigerwoods and Wii Sports were great........then nothing until Red Steel 2....then nothing...........still waiting . It has been over 1.5 years since M+ launched. I want my money back Nintendo.

yeah i noticed. which is a nice thing. I dont know, if you played 3 games or 4 games for a 20 buck peripheral, is asinine or plain cheap to ask for refunds .in fact if you got wsr , you got it bundled. If you got a black wii, its free. And btw, Zelda is coming. I dont know really, for such a cheap add on(or free like it was for me), i would be dumb to complain.Few weeks selling 300k doing well?you know that most times gamespot brings wii miserably third party core sales(and call them terrible failures, such wii music), they sell in that range? Sure i shouldnt compare third party core games with first party add ones, but comparetively speaking, look at it this way.20 million balance boards sold , a nintendo add on without third party titles. 1 million moves, a much more deep add on, costly for sony, in 4 months? nah, simply not doing well, sony said they expected low forecasts, true, but if the sales dont pick up, i dont foresee games properly designed around it coming up. While i admit is great that heavy rain is now using move, the move capabilities are castrated in that game due to the fact, the game mechanics are not made to exploit fully move.

Its the same situation as the Expansion Pak. Released too late imo. M+ should've never been released as an accessory. The Wii remote plus is what the solution should've been a very, very long time ago.

That way, developers didn't have an excuse to fall back on

Sounds like Nintendo will be releasing some more M+ games in 2011, and since the newer Wii consoles will come with it built in, more games will probably take advantage of it. My $10 investment was worth it for Tiger 10, Red Steel 2, and Grand Slam Tennis. Skyward Sword will further reinforce its worth.

Lucas Arts needs to get off ther bums and make a decent Star Wars game with M+ controls (it would sell millions IMO).
