I dislike Childish Red and Ugly Blue, so I'll wait for Slightly More Attractive Silver or Classic White.
Original 3DS looks great if you ask me. There are compromises made but it works. Of the XL colors, I prefer the red greatly. Since I already have the 3DS, I think I might wait for a special eddition for a game series I like like the Zelda version of the original 3DS.
lol at the excuses people will come up with to dislike something to cover up butthurt. The size factor I can understand. but not getting it because there isn't a color you want? LOL

Color is a legitimate excuse. We know Classic White and Slightly More Attractive Silver exist since Japan is getting them, and Nintendo will obviously release more colors in the future to attract more customers. Why buy another 3DS in Childish Red and Ugly Blue if we could wait for the colors that we want? :|

Then good for you! :D Unfortunately, your opinion differs from mine and a few others. So instead of laughing at our descision to wait for more colors, you should anticipate the release of the Red 3DS XL. :)

I'm assuming most of you already have 3DS's?Neither. The original 3DS is fine with me. The XL is just a gimmick to get us to spend more money. Plus it's not as portable as the original.
that was my thinking[QUOTE="KBFloYd"]
the color means jack to me...if you really want the system it shouldnt matter.
im getting childish red.

yea those color whores are people that are on the fence about the system...or need something extra to make them buy it.

I'm going to admit I'm on the fence. I don't see the need to upgrade, when I could use that money on the WiiU or gamesWhy butthurt care to explain? Those colors are ugly, period.lol at the excuses people will come up with to dislike something to cover up butthurt. I'm not sure who they think is investing in a 3DS XL on day one, but those likely people definitely aren't going to want these two colors. I sure don't.
I'll wait for black or silver; or maybe I just won't get one at all. Haven't made up my mind yet.
I'll be trading my black 3DS for a sexy silver badboy this coming friday..... GAME in the UK have got a trade in deal knocking off £100 from the XL asking price, ..... can't wait!
I've also just traded in a load of Wii games and got 45 bucks for them on my GAME loyalty card, so ill only be paying £35 extra for the XL.... yeah baby!
The colors aren't what has me now hesitating, it's the swap-out. Things like my friends list, eshop games and memory card switching. I'm wondering if it's easy to do or if I'll have to re-add everyone and re-buy those games, and if I can transfer data from the old card to the new one?
System transfer is quite easy. It basically copies everything from the original system to a blank system and then erased everything on the original system to leave it blank. All you have to do is sit down and watch. It takes a while. The colors aren't what has me now hesitating, it's the swap-out. Things like my friends list, eshop games and memory card switching. The only problem I'll have is the sd card transfer, since my old PC doesn't have a card reader. I'll probably just stick with the 2 gb card in my current 3DS since I still have plenty of room on it.The colors aren't what has me now hesitating, it's the swap-out. No. If the only thing getting updated is screen size (Not even sure if the resolution will get affected much by it), its not worth plopping down $200 for another 3DS (Not to mention that this 3DS seem less portable than the original). I'd rather lay down that type of cash for a Wii-U...
The resolution of the screens is exactly the same. And yes, it is less portable than the original.No. If the only thing getting updated is screen size (Not even sure if the resolution will get affected much by it), its not worth plopping down $200 for another 3DS (Not to mention that this 3DS seem less portable than the original). I watched some video review of the 3DS XL hardware and it said the only real negative was there were more noticable jaggies. But on the positive side the review said it is much more ergonomic to hold now, has less glare on the screen, battery life was better, the 3D effect was much better and so was the sweet spot for viewing it.No. If the only thing getting updated is screen size (Not even sure if the resolution will get affected much by it), its not worth plopping down $200 for another 3DS (Not to mention that this 3DS seem less portable than the original). As for portability, they put it next to a Vita, and it was about the same size with the shell closed.
Being more ergonomic and the larger screen size is what sold me on it.
