Which Advance Wars game do you recommend?

Both. In fact, buy 1 & 2 because they're all such awesome games :D

But Dual Strike is basically just an upgraded version of 1 & 2.

Anyways, DoR was great, but i didnt like how little CO powers could influence the battle. Sure, it makes it a little more strategic, but CO powers were part of the charm of the series. Gave the characters uniqueness and made the decision of your CO kind of strategic. In DoR, the powers were so ineffectual it barely mattered who you picked. And, The story tried to be darker, but thats what brought it down in my opinion. The characters werent as likable either.

I completely hated the characters from 1-3. XD. And the killer CO powers completely controlled battle, making the player with the better tag team the ultimate winner. In DoR, though, yes it did matter, just not as incredibly much as in DS. But then, that part of the game's the most opinionated -__-

Both amazing games, doesn't really matter which you go with to be honest.
