Gamers who enjoyed the N64 controls should go with the Classic Controller.
Gamers who enjoyed the GC controls...of course, go with the GC controller.
Otherwise, it would be nice to try the other controls. The Wiimote+Nunchuk might be cool. It would be nice to experiment with all the controls for multiplayer flexibility, so I'll probably go with Wiimote+Nunchuk.
As far as Wiimote only, I would be frustrated with pressing Forward+1+2 just to do a Smash Attack. And I have a bad feeling that you would have to jerk the Wiimote to jump since Up will be used for upward attacks. If I play against beginners, I'll probably use the Wiimote just to increase the challenge. Ha! Ha!
I'm still convinced it will only allow GCN controllers... lol.
Honestly, I'll start with wiimote only just because I'm so curious about it. Then I'll work my way down the the gamecube. I want to give them all a fair chance.
Has anyone considered the wiimote only style may be some "dummy" version like they are adding into madden. Maybe your guy moves and you just do moves and saves? That would suck, but its inline with nintendo...

Yeah, same here. I'm gonna give em all a try, but I just really can't see the other controls schemes stacking up to the original gamecube controls.
I can't imagine being able to effectively play with the Wiimote alone, and controling with no analog just seems weird. The nunchuck combo would feel weird because this is a fighting game.... and having my arms so far apart for a fighting game would just feel weird. And the A button is the only button that your tham can comfotably reach. And the classic controller just is alot like an SNES controller. Not my favoirte controller. Take the GCN controller over it any day.

What are you talking about? The Classic controller is not set up at all like the N64 controller!
which reminds me, I really hope Nintendo puts out a classic N64 controller for the Wii.
