I've been asking myself this question for quite a while now, both Tactics games are amazing and have a great storyline with fun and addictive gameplay. But even thought their gameplay may be a bit similar, their storylines and backgrounds are very different.
FF Tactics: The War of the Lions (For PSP): This was the original FF Tactics released for the PS1, this is a port created for PSP. This FF Tactics shows a darker side to Ivalice's history and is more detailed into the past of Ivalice and its conflicts. The storyline is intriguing since it takes us to a darker age in which Ivalice was facing inner conflicts with its government and aristocracy, it remains one of the most influential FF titles to date.
FF Tactics Advance (For GBA): This is an amazing Tactics game which introduces us to new races never before seen in Ivalice (before in the original Tactics), the storyline revolves around a boy who is transported to Ivalice (no spoilers) and begins his adventure to seek answers to what has occured to his original home and a way to return there. This FF Tactics really absorbed me into its gameplay because of the diverse races, now you could have members in your "clan" that are another race besides humans (and each race has their "Class" selection, this allows you to explore new boundaries in each race to master the ultimate team). This FF Tactics is less dark than the original and allowed children (and adults alike) to explore the wonderful world of Ivalice (but unlike the original Tactics also revolved less around the history and past-events of the land of Ivalice).
I would love to hear your opinions, comments, and votes on this, speak your mind (but be open-minded to the thoughts and theories of others as well), so here's the question: Which do you think is better?
