I don't know many games coming out yet, as it's still near the beginning of the year, but Professor Layton was my GOTY for 2008 so if the second one is released in 2009 than probably that one. If it's not released, than maybe Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon will be my GOTY.
I will playing Pokemon Platinum the most so it will be my personal GOTY. Of course games like DQV, Devil Survivor, and Knights in the Knightmare will be great games too.
I recently saw videos for Mario&Luigi 3, and that game looks like it's going to rock the dang socks off! I'm going to try to get my hands on that game as soon as I can after it's released. :D
Suikoden Tierkreis is looking pretty great. Dark Spire looks fantastic as well, despite having relatively low production values and a hype train as big as my thumb.

FE DS or Platinum. Depends on if I decide to go with a new adventure (for me at least) or most played. Shining Force Feather (if it even comes out) probably won't get it because it's from Sega, and Black Sigil is form an unproven developer, so I'm unsure where it'll be.

Seriously. I made a topic on the series on one of my forums and pretty much mostly girls posted in it, and they were hardcore fans. Over 60 pages of girls going back and forth..... It was a shocker to say the least.
