Whats wrong with the Odd AA game? You're saying godfather, Elebits, and other games like that arent worth your time?ken_drummerno,no,no!! im not saying AA games suck, im saying i plan on getting quality games this gen, not games below A. I love super paper mario, trauma centre, and madden 07, dont get me wrong
If you absolutly see it necissary to limit yourself to purchasing games solely on the review score, use 80+ instead. There are plenty of fabulous games that noone should miss but only score in the 80's.. plus it gives you a wider amount of games to choose from.
Anyways, the actual review means something too. There are games that may score a 7, but due to the genre, content etc they are more suited for yourself.. so you should make sure you read the reviews/do research as well. Games scoring in the 70's are still considered good games by critics, there is just more of a chance the game wont be for you.
If you're worried about buying crappy games, try renting. I'd suggest that over going by review scores alone, because its your opinion that matters most.
Anyways: My collection is good in my eyes, though it has some lower scoring games. I have the harry potter game, which is bad by gamespot standards but a fair amount of other sites rated it "good" especially if you liked the potter franchise. I also have big brain academy, which is another game in the 7's.. but that game is great for what it is, plus i've had alot of fun playing it with my GF.
my collections is strikers wariowae smooth moves super paper mario and wii sports so my collection isnt bad i did have loZTP and MP# but i beat them and sold themmusicman748
How can you sell the two best games and keep all the others lol.
Anyway my Wii collection is Wii Sports, Zelda, Red Steel, SSX Blur and Mario Strikers.
Nothing bad in my opinion, I like them all.
This gen, i am not going to make a SINGLE mistake, i will only buy AAA games for my wii, and no sonic. So far i have Metroid Prime 3 and Legend of zelda Twilight princess, btw i cant buy M games and i use gamerankings as my sourcehan_186
You're going to be a very very unhappy gamer.
Please don't apply this to other consoles because if you do you might as well give up on gaming.
It's about playing what you want to play and what you find fun, it's not about letting someone tell you what games are worth playing by whatever view they have on it.
Just because a game rates low from a review does not mean it is a bad game. People have different likes and dislikes. If you liked those games that you had for GameCube that does not mean you "ruined" your collection. That is actually the most stupid thing I have heard. If you bought a game and you did not like it because you yourself, not a gaming site review or somebody else's opinion, thought the game was bad, then that could "ruin" your collection. If you like the game and the game scored a 3, then that's still not ruining your collection because you likea game.
Like the one person said, Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix got a low score on GameSpot (I'll take their word) I thought that the game was really fun. Obviously the game could have been improved in certain areas, but it was still a fun game. So in conclusion, a game only "ruins" your collection only if you did not like the game because you honestly thought it was a bad game, not because of the review it got on some site.

You should go out and find different types of unique games(not trying to say anything about the games you plan on getting though).
My good games:
Warioware: Smooth Moves
RE4
TP
Super Paper Mario
Mario Strikers Charges and to a lesser extent:
Wii Sports
My games I'm not I'm not very impressed with:
Metal Slug Anthology (Oh god, the controls and load times ruin this)
Godfather (Great controls, but it wasn't a very good game in the first place)
i wasted $50 for warioware for the wii and its not even a good game.risingrebal
i think warioware is alot of fun to play with other people
[QUOTE="musicman748"]my collections is strikers wariowae smooth moves super paper mario and wii sports so my collection isnt bad i did have loZTP and MP# but i beat them and sold themhan_186how could u? u evil man!
theres no point in keeping them well im sad about LOZTP i really really liked that game but MP3 i really didnt like that much i just couldnt get into it
Ill probably get all the good games when they come out and be more weary about what, im getting (didnt get to many bad games last gen) I won't be getting alot of games this gen only the killer aps, but when everything goes down to like 12 dollars like with the gc now ill be spending money on some of the "okay" games. Other then that ill just rent the ones im notoverly enthusiasticabout.
I have Zelda, Red Steel, Mario Strikers Charged, The Godfather and Mario Party 8
I regret buying the last two... Not to worry though lots of games I want comming (BWii, MoH:H2, SSBB, MK Wii, Civilization Revolution and Worms: A Space Oddity... OH, and lots of WiiWare!)
It was a mistake buying Pokemon Battle Revolution! I thought it'd be like Pokemon Stadium, but instead it was this lame imitation with lousy gameplay, poor online, and a bunch of other turn-offs I could mention nut I'll refrain from that. Argh, that was a complete waste of 40 bucks.SilentCapybara
i feel your pain, i have it , from my bad collection also is elebits and godfather doesnt apeal to me .
Wow, I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand to have a bad game in an otherwise enviable collection. I just got a Gamecube last year and went crazy at EB getting anything with a cool box or interesting name. I actually spent $8 on Space Raiders... I ended up keeping anything Metroid, Zelda, or Resident Evil, and most everything else I traded back or just threw away. The only "bad" game I kept was P.N.03, mostly because the "scenery" was good and I like shooting robots.
Now with Wii... so far the worst game I've had was Rampage Total Destruction (traded in) and maybe Metal Slug Anthology. I'm pickier about buying stuff new...
I have Zelda TP, Metroid Prime 3, DBZ T2, Bust-A-Move (more my wifes game then anything), Wii Sports, SSX Blur, Paper Mario, Wii Play (Only for remote and was a gift), and RE4. The only one I think I could part with is Wii play but I don't believe I would get much for it at EB games for trade. I am also going to include my VC games, I have 21 of them and the one that I put off to the side that I regret buying would be Shockman.
I have:
wii sports
wii play
zelda tp
super paper mario
mario strikers charged
mario party 8
excite truck
sonic secret rings
crash of the titans
and I love all my games:)
my wishlist for 2007
metroid prime 3
super mario galaxy
zack and wiki
mario and sonic at the olympic games (maybe)
link's xbow training (maybe)
