Tough. I'm not sure what I want out of Switch anymore. I no longer see it the way I did prior to having it. I thought I'd be table topping it all over, but that kickstand don't work on 50% of surfaces I'd use, so need that stand first.
It is kind of heavy in handheld and I prefer the docked graphics, plus the Joy Cons kind of gave my left wrist strain in the grip. Meaning I don't know if I can possibly play big console games with Joy Cons. So I'm looking mostly at exclusives that are no where else, and hopefully find some bigger games that I like in non-dock mode.
I'm probably only person who bought a Neon Switch but didn't buy BotW. I'm GameFly'n it, but will purchase it since it is brand new and gonna take too long to beat.
TOP 3 MOST LIKELY:
-Mario Kart Deluxe
-ARMS
-Lego City

hopefully they sell 3rd party stands soon.
@KBFloYd: The problem was, I spent 320 just on the console, and waited til after I got it to get anything else, cause I canceled my original preorder and luckily got another one. But only grabbed the screen protector cause last one and needed one til the nice one gets shipped. But the problem was, like 200-300 in things to add on top. I just wanted to spread it out. Get better screen protector first, sweet stand with usb-c cord, 128gb mSD card class 1, pro controller, and then games.
There is a nice HORI one on Amazon for like $12, which allows you to stand up and charge at same time, but I went back and someone was reselling it for like $30. I've seen like 3-4 copy cats some come with the actual USB-C but I rather get a wall mount that accepts the USB cable as a sort of combo but only if rated for Switch which some were but none had reviews so feared they sucked. But that HORI stand, is back-ordered 1-2 months now, even my screen protector from amFILM is gonna take a week, while this PoS PDP Official stays all bubbly. Still, I knew it was a 1 star, but Walmart had 1 left on rack and knew I'd scratch it in mean time.
I honestly wanted a rubber grip for handheld mode, or for nunchuck style individual grip for joy cons with handles like the 3DS one. Cause Joy Cons weren't bad while in the grip but you got that handle to really get a grip on it, but I just felt some strain after use, but it could have just been over use. I just noticed it was strained after doing PS4 stuff.
Anyways, I am likely gonna buy BotW from GameFly, but I basically gonna get MK8D for my niece with the $50 giftcard I got for my PS+ not working which is gonna take a month to come in mail anyway, but I'm having hard time deciding, with online options not great with no friend play on RMX and Bomberman not worth cost says everyone. Meaning I was gonna buy Shovel Knight with my 3DS leftover funds, cause I can't seem to get myself to commit to any game that is 40+ when not ready. Basically I'm content using GameFly through the year til Mario, or til either prices drop on launchies, or til something is hardcore ready day 1 like I feel MK8D will be.

im hearing you need to go tempred glass with switch protectors....because of the rubber in the dock.

not sure about those 3rd party usb c stands....havnt needed to buy them yet. only used switch docked and in handheld mode so far. handheld mode was a lot more comfortable than the 3DS but quite a bit heavier.
as for joycon comfort. im using the grip that comes with switch and have no comfort issues...hands are perfectly fine after hours of play. at first it felt small but goes away after 30min of playing.i havnt used them on their side mode yet. i assume you use them that way for snipper clips?
@KBFloYd: That was my over-analyzing things, but in the last hour or so, I've actually become accustom to the table top mode with the straps on the joy cons. Like when I tried it earlier I kept dying to the Blue Bokoblins. But after I learned all the buttons on the grip using the TV, its like I was able to adapt better to the single hand mode.
What I really want is a stand that allows me to play in handheld mode. So that its held in place, and can just let go, and tap buttons for interludes, and cut scenes. I think most stands are more for tabletop mode with charging.
My bubble problem has gotten better. I knew it takes time, but I knew I wasn't gonna be touching it. At least it isn't as bad as before, but still lame. I prefer the screen protectors that use that juice, so that you can really scrap out the bubbles. But yeah the one I'm looking at is also tempered glass, and the picture showed a wet wipe, which I bet is 10x better for getting bubbles out. But it probably isn't as good as spraying that liquid on.
I was gonna buy a game since my 3DS funds merged. I think I'm gonna get Shovel Knight the 25$ one that comes with 3 games in 1. I wanted RMX/Bomberman, but neither are perfect, although RMX at 20$ with add ons later, could make it worth it. I am Setsuna is a game I want to play, I just think on multi-plats I will stick to PS4. Zelda is a big console game meant for Switch, I just don't know how Setsuna will work on Switch yet. I'm definitely gonna rent ARMS and Bomberman, but doubt I'll buy them. 1, 2 Switch I'll rent eventually, just for the heck of it.

yea, some multiplats ill be getting for pc and not switch. but i might by some just if i want that version to be portable or something.
Mario Kart 8 and Sonic Mania are must-buys for me. I'm going to wait for the reviews on ARMs, as long as the controls work well, it should be a fun game worth picking up as well.

Think I'm going to get myself one of these.
nothing on that list and I already have mario odyssey on preorder unless nintendo announces more switch games coming before the holiday season.
Going to get Has Been Heroes, Lego City Undercover(never played the original) and Mario Kart.
yea, i also didnt get lego city on wiiU. the wiiu launch actually had a lot of games and that one i decided to skip. i was broke those launch months.
i will finally play on the switch. reason im choosing switch is the extra nintendo related easter eggs in the game plus portability.
Arms looks fun provided it has actual depth aka Punch Out. I'm also interested in another game that begins with "R" and it looks almost like a side scrolling vehicle shooter. The name escapes me.
Mario Kart, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Street Fighter(yeah it's a bit overpriced but I have no physical copy of the game), and Sonic Mania.
I'll wait and see on Arms and Redout(not sure if I'll need it since I have Fast RMX). I might get Disgaea once the price drops, I have it on PS4 already. Splatoon 2 maybe if I decide I feel like a multiplayer shooter.
We are probably getting our Switch late April, or Early May.
our 3 launch games are gonna be.
Zelda BotW
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Blaster Master: Zero
I am not sure what we will choose after that.
2 games depend on comparisons to other platforms. Yooka-Laylee, and Skyrim both come to mind in this regard, Skyrim with extra questions about mod support. I have yet to play Skyrim so perhaps the Switch would be a great place to do it. If it has mod support, and what "version" of the game it is.
But post launch that I know for a fact I will be getting on it will be:
Pokemon Stars
Super Mario Odyssey
Shin Megami Tensei
Super Smash Bros (whenever they get it out)
My girlfriend wants that Sonic Mania
All this basically within a year from its launch is enough to warrant a purchase from us. That and we haven't had a nintendo console since the gamecube, so any virtual console Nintendo puts on it will be extra valuable for us, as we haven't had a Nintendo virtual console yet.
