I've played a lot of both in my life, and I say that Smash Bros has funner multiplayer. Mario Kart is great, but, like most racing games, it can get a bit dull after a while. With Smash, there's so much stuff that you can do for multiplayer that you can always find a way to entertain yourself.
ill have to say mario kart for the fact that you cant have too much fun playing mario kart by yourself and you can have a lot of fun playing super smash bros and unless your playing mario kart multiplayer its not that fun
Mario Kart is definitely a better party game. Everyone can understand a racing game not everyone wants to really do a fighting game plus Smash can be a bit too hectic for a lot of people. A usual game of Smash at a party ends with the majority of people going 'what do I do', 'where is my person at', 'let's play Mario Kart again'.
I'd have to say Mario Kart because all I have to tell them is "hold A to drive, turn with left and right, and press 'item button' to shoot things" Smash bros is better only when the other people you're playing know how to play. I hate explaining how to play SSB.
wow hard question... well they both have there good things... if i want to race one of my friends im going pick MK, but if im in the mood of kicking butt, you know SSB is going to win
Depends on the crowd. If the people you're playing with don't usually play videogames, go with MarioKart. But if you are playing with a gaming audience, it's definately Smash Bros. Overall though, I prefer Smash with groups, though I always have a good time playing Mario Kart with my friends as well.
I would like to note that Smash Bros makes a much better drinking game than MarioKart. Don't drink and kart, people.
hands down ... Smash Bros. takes the cake .... its just so much funner than MK is . Fighting beats racing id say i mean theres just more to choose from in fighting games when its a multi-player than a racing game...All u can really do in a racing game is well race , or battle ... SSB has way more customizations.
Hard to say because the both beat most of the competition out there but I would have to say SSB because its just so addictive and you keep playing fast fast fast.

lol i agree it definatly depends on who your playing with if your playing with some dull broing person either game wont be fun to play multiplayer but when you got a group of intense gamers both games with be incredable fun to play but smash has to be my favortie with the charater diversity and all the fun of beating your frineds up whats better than tha
Depends. With noobs MK is better. With verterans SSB.
MK is too much... luck and well, its better to play with people who don't know what they're doing cuz its a simple concept.. hold A. But for Smash, its hard to play with noobs. They just hop around mashing buttons. Its either boring or overly easy. MK at least keeps the playing field a bit easier. I still rahter play Smash anytime, but for multiplayer in that sense. it depends on situation.
Online I'd go with mario kart. We still dont know if SSBB online will be good and I expect Mario Kart Wii online to be like Mario Kart DS (without the custom logos)
