Hey so I love games where you can customize skills jobs and other things. For example one of my fav games is Final Fantasy tactics. (tactics advanced was so so as not as much depth)

I know there are other tactical games out there and other RPG's. My question is what game has the most depth in terms of customizing your characters skills, class and everything. It does not have to be an RPG but I figure it most likely will be lol. I know of Luminous arc or whatever its called but cant really find out how in depth it really is.

Sorry I am trying to make this not a recomdation thread because I hate posting in that thread as you do not get a lot of responce. Thanks

Disgaea 1/2/3, the customization in the game is epic.

There are a lot of tatical RPGs, you should try searching.. There are a good amount on the DS.. Not going to list them all though, at this post at least.

I tried Disgaea for PSP and it wasnt really my style. I like a lot of depth with skills and lvling up skills not just different classes and weapons

You should check out Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon if you haven't already. It's not exactly a "tactical RPG" like Disgaea or FFT, but there's a good amount of depth and customization to it, while it lasts.

This. I'd definitely recommend it, as it sounds like just what you're looking for.

I played Fire Emblem on GBA and though it was good but its not really what im looking for lol. Im leaning towards the world ends with you but I do not know how much you can customize skills because it seems linear,(that isnt always bad.)

Thanks for your times guys Also does anyone know how the class system and skill system works for Luminous arc? can you freely choose jobs and skills like FFT or is it linear?

Well in TWEWY, there's 300 something "pins" you can choose from, collect, level up, etc. You can only use decks of 7 pins at once so there's a lot of possiblities of what powers you want; very customizable. Also "thread" (clothes) give out power ups as you can choose which ones you'd use most, as well as your original partners that you can pick. It doesn't sound like your type of game though.

But it's not what you're looking for. Also, Shadow Dragon was thw worst Fire Emblem game yet, and even though you said you weren't interested, I'd choose on of the older GBA games over SD any day.

You don't have to.

You can, but it's easier to stick to one set and fight enoguh to switch the area's trends.

TWEWY sounds like its perfect! I mean no job classes but I would rather customize my skills over job classes since the skills aew what make the jobs anyways. So I know you have your main character the guy with blonde hair but you get to pick your partner? can you elaborate without spoilers? And also I am thinking of picking up Locks Quest as I love defence games. Any thoughts? Thanks

Neku, the main character, has red hair. Are we even talking about the same game here?

And you can only choose a partner after you finish the game.

it's orange >.> anyways, there are as many pins (the attacks) to customize your battle set as pokemon in... pokemon games. and yes, you can just change the trend too... i never change clothes, but it's an option. BTW the clothing system is really cool too, and full of options.

I find it funny how fast this thread got off topic. I would have to agree that THEWY is a good customization game. Sorry I don't have more knowledge on the subject :?

This might not be a good game, but I feel that Front mission has tons of customization. You change and choose the different parts of your wanzers, which are kinda like those machines from gundam. If you feel like it, you could do research on it. I heard from one guy that it has TONS of stuff to do.

Anyone know how deep Locks Quest is?

TWEWY sounds really fun cant wait thanks a lot everyone for all the input! Was going to get Luminous arc but now that I know there is no customization im not so sure lol

isn't it orange?

As say red because people with orange hair in real life they're "red heads".

So Neku is a red head. P:
