Well I'm not too familiar with what is more graphically superior. But here's my 2 cents:

Are you sure the 3DS is more powerful? I'd imagine the 3DS to be inbetween the Cube and Wii.
Also, the 3DS is less than a year old. So have yet to see the best from the 3DS.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Wii has more grunt than the 3DS (in terms of polygon pushing power) but the 3DS has some newer shader effects similar to ones found on the PS3/360. The former is sort of offset by the 3DS only having to render to a screen with 192K pixels (in full 3D mode, half that with it off), where the Wii has to display to over 345K pixels. (I'm not counting the touch screen because it's generally used to display a static or near static image).

yea basically this. the wii has more grunt but the 3DS has a few more tricks up its sleeve basically.

At the end of the day, 3DS games will end up looking better than many Wii games.

To summarize the 3DS is superior in some ways and the Wii in others. The Wii has more polygon count, so I think it means it will have more shapes and better textures, while the 3DS has better shaders meaning that shadows, character skins and it has more lighting effects. It depends which engine it's on but High Voltage (developers of The Conduit and Conduit 2) said that the 3DS can do more then the Wii, so we can gurantee it works better on there engine and The Conduit was a technical achievement on the Wii, also Resident Evil games look a lot better on the 3DS. I think the Wii does work better for more colerful artsy games like Mario Galaxy and Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Overall I think the 3DS will end up looking better then the Wii, due to most modern developers aiming for more shiny, realistic effects, and so far the 3DS is only in it's early stages and were already getting games like Resident Evil revelations, so early. It will only get better from now on.

Yeah that's what I've gathered too. The Wii is officially more powerful but the 3DS has a more modern GPU so it can do some things the Wii can't do. The Wii uses the same GPU the Gamecube used, it's just faster. Since the 3DS has a lower resolution and the screen is smaller games will look better on it.

The wii is a tiny bit more powerful. Its really hard to tell. But because of the small screens of the 3ds and the 3d of course it looks so much crisp and clearer then most wii games on your normal tv.

It does have more RAM than a Wii, it's GPU is almost as fast ,and we have no clue what it's CPU's clock speed is other than it's probably dual core. We've heard estimates of 266Mhz to 1Ghz (from the product page of the CPU on ARM's website) Overall, the fact that it's even in the ballpark of Wii makes me a happy gamer.

Judging from everything that's been said, the 3ds will work like the N64 in the sense that the games with better graphics will be using tricks to make them look so good. If not, then there will be lots of simple art styles that look fitting and will be praised for having good graphics.
