Definitely RE4.

Only not, Cause I'm gonna say Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is better than Metroid Prime. Why? The controls. It's not really fair to compare the Wii version of RE4 to the GC version of MP because RE4 wins just because of the Wii controls.

However, if we compared the Gamecube version of both games then Metroid Prime would come out on top.

First of all, graphically and soundwise, it creates a real experience. The enemies and encounters are a lot less predictable than in MP3, too. There's a ton of replay value in RE4, plus the amount of customization with weapons and all that is just great.

MP3 is a good game, but it doesn't suck me in as much as RE4 does.

It's not much, but RE4 is IMO a more difficult game, too. Not once in MP3 do I worry about dying, but that's because RE4 is a horror game. Still, with the game design and the anxiety, it makes it a bit more difficult.

Did I mention that it's bloody as hell?

both are great games but RE4 wins hands down

Definitely RE4. It's so fun, and different.

It's an excellent first-time experience. I'm a HUGE RE fan, so that's a given, too. Both excellent games, though. Just grab both of them :P

Hard to compare these two because Prime 1 was released in 2002 while RE4 was first realeased in 2005.

I beat Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 both on the Gamecube sortly after they were released.

Both very awesome.

My vote goes to Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube; for showing the true intended power of the Gamecube!
