to be honest I think they should make the nunchuck the motion and the wiimote for aiming....having them both on one sucks..

I personally like both and the wii remote wouldn't be the same without either one, so it doesn't really matter which one is better.
without WM+... the pointer is better....... with WM+, otherwise.... or equally great....
but i really like the speakers too...........
The IR pointer. The actual motion sensing for the Wii remote, disregarding the WiiMotionPlus,is underdeveloped and shaky.
[QUOTE="MadSavage22"]wtf? i think i understand what he's saying.. maybe.. like when playing the conduit when you use the motion for melee, your pointer gets messed up because you're moving the remote. but of course, nunchuk has motion sensing too.. so i dont know.. but i vote pointer, although they both contribute pretty well, especially with M+. the motion allows for some crazy minigames and sports games -- but the IR is superb with shooters, navigating menus, has revolutionized soccer games, and i think without the IR the motion would be a little more lost.to be honest I think they should make the nunchuck the motion and the wiimote for aiming....having them both on one sucks..

I think both are interesting and it's smart Nintendo provided both, but I haven't played many FPS on the wii so I'd have to go with the whole motion thing.
Pointer, but there are some games out there with great motion controls. Wii Music for example, just wouldn't be fun on any other system, but with the Wii your able to play over 60 instruments with just one controller. Also, I think motion controls have really advanced sports games like Madden, Tennis, and Tiger Woods. It's a tough call, but at the moment, the pointer is it's best feature. Lostwinds, IMO, is an example of the pointer done right.
