I prefer single player games.

Mario Kart DS
Final Fantasy 6 Advance
NSMB
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Age of Empires
Star Fox Command
Lunar Knights
Lost in Blue
Trace Memory

Age of Empired lasts forever. Mario Kart is fun too but it shines in multiplayer.

Agreed...although imo you can't go wrong picking up FF VI Advance either, especially if you've never played it in it's previous releases before.

Of the games I've played... Age of Empires- Cheap (15.99 at Circuit City) and tons of value. Great gameplay- reminiscent of Advance Wars DS. Hotel Dusk- Excellent and unique game. Single player only. Limited replay value but tons of fun whilst it lasts. NSMB- Fun but short. Also very easy- you can accrue lives like you wouldn't believe (it seems like everything gives you a 1up- even powering up the DS. Kidding!)

So Age of Empires is really that good, hmm... I'll put off getting MK, NSMB, HDR215, SFC until later I think. So it's between FF6A, Lunar Knights, Lost in Blue, Age of Empires & Trace Memory. Please recommend one.

Age Of Empires... I'm getting Lunar Knights today or tomorrow, so I can do a review this weekend.

MarioKart may shine in multiplayer but it has the best single player experience of any other MarioKart game.

NSMB.  FF6Advance if you don't already have another version of it.  Trace Memory is okay.. but I think Hotel Dusk looks better..

20 hours? As much as I really like HD, it really doesn't take that long.

Besides Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros. which are must-haves and should be owned by everyone who's got a DS, Hotel Dusk looks awesome. I'm getting that and Elite Beat Agents as soon as they come to Europe.

Well, if you're going to take Hotel Dusk off that list and you're willing to spend 40 bucks, you could get Trace Memory & Age of Empires for that much. I wouldn't pick Trace Memory over Hotel Dusk, though, from what I've heard. Hotel Dusk is amazing but I dunno about Trace Memory. I've heard it's good but pales in comparison.

I think out of the games you said that it's now down to, I'd say Lunar Knights or just Age of Empires and save the rest of your cash. Lunar Knights looks pretty damn good and, from what I hear, it's pretty damn sweet. It got the silver in this month's EGM too. Definitely the next game I'm going to pick up.

It does if you don't use a faq and take your time. Plus it has some replayability to obtain the ideal ending.

I got Final Fantasy 6 Advance. I just ended up wanting it most because while I once owned the SNES version, I had sold it. I also barely played it back then because I got it when I had a N64. So now I get to finally play it & enjoy the new features. Thanks for the input, I'll use it for my next purchase.

If you like 3-D platformers, Rayman DS and Super Mario 64 DS take forever to complete and are single player.

if you like single player games(like me) than get both Phoenix Wright games. Off your list I'd get Hotel Dusk Room 215. I've heard great things.

I'd highly reccommend Age of Empires. It will last you quite a while.

NSMB is too short. It's not worth the money you pay for it.

FF games rock however. You couldnt' go wrong getting one.

Maybe it's because you have a lot of other games that you didn't list them. But the list you posted is lacking some of the best games on the system so it's hard to really give an opinion. From what you listed I'd say Hotel Dusk. AOE is pretty good by the way but it does have some annoyances that keep it from being Fire Emblem or Advance Wars good.

Actually, I recently got a DS & only have FF3 & CVPoR. Those are the games that came to mind first. I can't get online so Wifi is not a selling point for me, I didn't like EBA, hesitant about buying games like PW because I know nothing about the gameplay, don't want SM64, don't want YI2 for its current price. I don't play the DS much at all because I have too many console games to play. So after all this I don't know what you'd recommend.

Both Phoenix Wrights
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
Advance Wars Duel Strike
MechAssault
Animal Crossing
Trauma Center

As well as picking up some GBA games if you don't have them:

Both Fire Emblems
Both Advance Wars
Gunstar Super Heroes
Ghost and Goblins
Any of the GBA Castlevanias
M&L Superstar Saga
Astro Boy
Metal Slug Advance
If you're in to them any of the old marios or Yoshi's
Tactics Ogre
Zelda Minish Cap and LTTP if you haven't played it.

Those would be my picks.

After spending most of the morning playing Lunar Knights, I can highly recommend it! Superb game- worth all of it's $30! Also, pick up a copy of Astro Boy or Gunstar Super Heroes for the GBA if your local game store carries either one.
