Hard to compare the genres, but if were talking about which is better overall, mario galaxy is much more polished, better looking graphically, longer and more enjoyable than no more heroes.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, who are you to say otherwise? And you can't compare them, they are way too different. That being said, I enjoyed playing No More Heroes more than I did Galaxy.
This one's tough. Galaxy is the better made game with better technology, but No More Heroes has a better script, character, and battle system. Both 10's but No More Heroes is more my style.

Well, you asked which one was 'better'. Each person is going to have a different view on it, which they are fully entitled to. But if you are looking for profitability and the number of people it appeals to and in turn enjoy it I think the larger market means something. Comparing two completely different game themes like Galaxy and NMH you must take that into account in turn to do justice to the result. Galaxy is better in every way in that regard.
1) It made more money for the developer (keeps them happy), 2) it has brought joy to much more than the niche market that NMH targets, 3) and as such does the industry much more good (gaming in general) as more people have a positive opinion towards the game.
So, market can definately relate to 'how good it is' overall. If you want to pick on the graphical capabilities or other technical aspects of the game (engine, frame rates, controls), I think Galaxy wins again. Thus Galaxy rules over NMH without question. Now that doesn't mean you have to agree with it. But if you disagree with it, then you can enjoy the realization that you are, as a fact, part of the minority. And being in the minority isn't always a negative thing, so you don't have to feel bad about it either.
I liked Galaxy a bit better just because it was more open. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE No more Heroes. Especially the crazyness of the storyline. :)
I played NMH for much longer than I did Galaxy and I enjoyed NMH to no end. In terms of polish and production value galaxy has NMH beat. But I just like NMH more.
They're both great games, but Super Mario Galaxy isn't just great, it's a classic. No More Heroes is a game that crushes the stereotype that Wii games are kiddy.
