hi evryone!

so i just bought a DSi online because i wanted to play some old games i remeber again. about 6-7 years ago maybe, when i was probably 8 years old i had a pokemon game and i think it was called pearl? i think i finished it. however i sold my DS and all games 6-7 years ago and havent touched anything since.

i know want to play pokemon t bring back some nostalgia but as ive been out of the loop for years i don't know any of the games and not sure which one to buy. i will probably not continue the series just looking for a single game to occupy me for a bit. which one do you think is most suitable for me?

Probably Heart Gold/ Soul Silver. They are on Johto, the cousion region to Kanto- the very first game.

After you finish the game you can go to Kanto as well.

Try Pokemon Black & White, a friend told me they were specifically designed in part with the aim to make something older returning Pokemon fans would like.

Here are the DS main-series Pokemon games you can play on the DSi:

Diamond & Pearl, Platinum

HeartGold & SoulSilver

Black & White

Black 2 & White 2

And if you went with any other type of DS instead of the DSi (why did you choose the DSi in particular, might I ask?), it would have included a GBA slot and therefore been able to play these games as well:

Ruby & Sapphire, Emerald

FireRed & LeafGreen

Of those games, HeartGold and Soulsilver are probably the most content-heavy.
