EDIT: it's like judging a book vs. a magazine.

the book has more of a story.

but the magazine has more variety and interesting pictures. 

you cant compare two completely different things that aren't meant to be compared.

though i do think it's silly that nintendo left out dvd playback on wii.

PS2 standard graphics at the moment, port after port of last-gen quality games, extremely pathetic upgrade from Gamecube under the hood, no surround sound support, no online service from the get-go, no DVD playback.

I love my Wii but to say standards must be low just because of a funky controller is ignorant.

uhh.. yeah. but still, this is exactly what nintendo promisted besides the GAMES.

if you care about surround sound and all that fancy stuff, there are two other sytems that do those things very well. 

from what ive heard, the wii gaphics and such are better then they apear curently. the game developpers have just been lazy so far and not exploiting the consols full potential. the companys use more and more of the system as its life goes on, were still damn close to release so just sit back and be patient

if you care about surround sound and all that fancy stuff, there are two other sytems that do those things very well.

Uhh.. yeah. They actually promised DVD at E3 05 anyway. 

well if youre wondering why i "care about surround sound and hdtv for my wii" its because i have a 360 and use both those for it and i was wondering how much of my setup could be utilized by the wii

also i dont even know why you went and started an argument its not like i said "holy crap im a big graphix nub and cant play wii unless its just like my ps360!!!!!!!!!!"
