in harvest moon you just farm and start a family within a certain time frame. but in Rune factory you not only have to farm but u have to capture ur animals and use them in parties to fight other monsters. or at least thats what i got from the parragragh. i also read an inerview were i guess the guy who made it said you can ride wolves! and you have magic and i think you can be a blacksmith kinda person.
aggh is harvest moon 2 gonna be a sequal to the witch princess one? or is it that one. idrknow. well the reason they made rune factory becuase of the 10th anaversery and they wanted to change harvest moon up a bit. plus i read in japan they took harvest moon off its title and its going to be its own series now. but i cant wait any who.
nvm i just watched a gameplay vid.. and well it seems like they added some action rpg elements to it so there's characters you gotta attack and stuff. I'm sure alot of you will enjoy it but I think ill pass-supercharged-
Harvest Moon 2 and Rune Factory are completely separate games. Now originally I had thought Harvest Moon 2 was this game: http://www.fogu.com/hm7/ But after looking at gamespot's box cover for it, it may just be Harvest Moon DS For girls, which is what we already have for DS, but with you being a girl and several other capabilities.. Either way, it's coming out in Q4 of this year, and that is all we know... well that and the fact that all of these DS games are already out in Japan(which BTW I've imported all of them ^_^). Now Rune Factory on the other hand is completely different. It is known for a FACT that it is coming out July 17th, 2007, and even though it is very unlikely that they would change the date so close to the release, it's very possible. Natsume has been known to do that to us. -_- Now I have this and I must say it's not all that bad, but you need to know what is going on in the game to understand what you have to do. Apparently you use your Hoe and or Sickle to attack monsters. Then you can either raise them or defeat them.. I guess. Eventually I think you can have them tend to your crops and barn animals. Personally I wouldn't wait for Harvest Moon DS 2, because there is a good chance it's just the female remake of the first one. Although don't skip it entirely, because there is just as much a chance it's the new DS version aswell. But my point is go ahead and get Rune Factory, I believe it will be worth it.
