[QUOTE="Rocky32189"][QUOTE="The_Pig_Hostage"][QUOTE="Haze_101"][QUOTE="csliney"][QUOTE="Haze_101"] seeing how I'm basically an adult theres no way I can bring myself to even consider playing this game....I mean come on...
A guy wearing a green tunic with fairys and other wordly things talking to him I can deal with
A blue hedgehog who goes around collecting emeralds and beating up robots is pushing it
A plumber going around planets and stuff collecting stars is very borderline
but a purple flying thing that goes through hoops and is suposedly a figment of a lil boy and girls imagination or whatever the storyline is is where I'm going to have to draw the line...I mean if I was 10 im pretty sure the "colorful" music in the commercial would hooked me...nothing against you guys that wanna play it...I'd just rather shoot people in MOH

When you are a little older than basically an adult those reasons probably wont bother yu too much any more, after all who do you have to prove your manhood to? but I know where you are coming from because I have younger brothers, one of which now only buys 360 games his friends approve of and consequently he plays very little and has finished no games this year afaik.
this is not even a manhood factor...this is just a fact of if I go play nights I might as well go play the spongebob's and the avatar's and the bee movie games...I see this as more of a maturity thing... don't get me wrong I'm still a kid at heart but theres just things I have to draw the line somewhere...plus I already think its gonna suck..there was a reason they haven't made it for 10 years and its not because they were waiting for something like the wii to put it on...it's because sega is running out of things to do...they just cant keep making sonic games and have him race and crap...come on sega there's other games you could of brought back...like ristar...I def would play a new ristar over nights...but thats my IMO
Dude, grow up. Only people who are still immature would worry about "drawing the line" on some "maturity thing." Meantime, those of us in our 20s and above (as, I guarrantee you, many of the people buying this game will be) will be enjoying the game for the fun, magical experience that it is (unless Sega drops the ball).
Words to live by:
"Critics who treat "adult" as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adults themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."
-C. S. Lewis
I don't think anyone could have put it any better. Anyone who won'tdo something just because they think it's childish, is childish themselves.
It also seems to be a matter of insecurity if someone is unwilling to play a game that seems "kiddy". As long as it's fun, what does it matter? Video games are meant to be fun.
ok thats cool but please notice how i said IMO....I'm too stuborn and this and will fight each and everyone of you to the grave over this concept so please stop...and to you same people that talks of maturity being childish would you yourself go pick up a spongebob game if it had a great review?
LOL! EGM gave this game scores of 5 - 4 - 4.5
They state the controls are a nightmare.
