Not sure what this is about....but yes, I got it and am loving it. Only got to play the SNES version at friends' houses back in the day. Now if only SMB2 wasn't so hard with the controls...tjoeb123i cant find it anywhere sold out everywhere thats why i asked
Straight emulation of the SNES cartridge, and the lack of Super Mario World is very disappointing. I'm having fun with it, but it could have been much, much more.
I have it and love it. Not sure why it seems to be sold out everywhere else. You people live in smaller communities or something? I live in Dallas and everyone here has multiple copies. And to answer your other question, I am loving it.

What kind of control issues are you having? Most people tend to think it has a floaty ethereal quality to it. Just takes a bit of getting used to.

That's because they only had one production run. Its already sold out. They weren't joking when they said limited edition.
I wish, I've checked 3 gamestops and 2 walmarts in the area and they were all sold out. it's a huge success for the holidays since it's mario and only 30 bucks. the guys at gamestop told me that only 250,000 copies were made and it's completely backordered, but i'm not giving up yet.
its fun but i wish the soundtrack was longerelbert_b_23
Dude, I agree. Not sure why they included the sound effects on there but not having the underworld theme from Super Mario Bros. is almost criminal.
I would have bought it if it were just the soundtrack, packaging, and art book. The fact that it came with an awesome game is just gravy. I already have all four of the games on NES/Famicom and I have the SNES version of All-Stars, but I can only play those in my room on a CRT since my NES and SNES look like ass on my 1080p television.savebatteryYeah that's why I got it. No one in there right mind would hook a SNES to an HDTV. It's so ugly. The game actually looks rather nice and colorful when it's outputted in 480p.
actually SNES looks fine on my 42in 1080p hdtv with svideo. this is why i did not buy this game, got it on snes for $4 at goodwill

haha that how i feel about the under water theme from Super Mario Bros sure the ground theme is what made it famous but the underwater theme was the best besides the castle themei bought it about 15 years ago... ... ...
I do have it yet but I'm getting it for christmas. Pretty excited for it, I $30 isn't really that much for what you get.Nintendo1551
So youre happy with a game that is basically a port of a remake which was originally released on the snes back in the 90's with a soundtrack and a book thrown in? ... you sir are getting ripped off

It's only $9 more than buying them individually on the VC, but with the SNES benefits, and comes with a few mediocre bonuses. No one's arguing that it's a great deal or that Nintendo isn't lazy. Still it's the best looking way to play these games for now at least and is barely worth the price.I'm disappointed in almost everyone in this thread. And is it true it's selling out everywhere? Goddamn! Well, thanks to you guys Nintendo will keep crapping on on you and ripping you off for decades to come. You've only yourselves to blame for rewarding this laziness and quite frankly absolutely disgusting move from Nintendo.
ripping us off? the value of that game is rising! you can make money with that game!I'm disappointed in almost everyone in this thread. And is it true it's selling out everywhere? Goddamn! There are much worse ways to spend $30. There are people out there who spend money on virtual gifts for avatars or buying multiplayer modes in games. $30 for 4 remade Mario games isn't that bad. Sure they could have released it on the VC for $8 but that was never going to happen anyway. This is the same company that sold exact ports of NES games seperately for the GBA for $20 a piece. They already were greedy and I seriously doubt they'd care if we didn't buy it as it probably didn't cost much to make and they wouldn't be out much money. It's only $9 more than downloading them individually anyway and has better graphics and 4 save files per game.I'm disappointed in almost everyone in this thread. Alright. So overall this game is pretty worth 30 dollahs. Heres the problem. If ur a fan of the original super mario bros, u may be dissappited. The jumping is a lil skewed, but the graphics look really really good. The second mario bros, Marios Bros USA, is alright. Not any changes other than some music updates, and graphical improvements. SSMB3 is honestly the same game. It does have some better color graphics and music, but even though there isnt that many changes, its still really good. The music CD is amazingly good. It brings back memories big time. And the book they give you is a one time look kinda thing. Nothing to get too excited about.
It really should have included Mario WorldStraight emulation of the SNES cartridge, and the lack of Super Mario World is very disappointing. I'm having fun with it, but it could have been much, much more.
