i did have 1 until i returned it. The signal is strong but cuts out sometimes, not sure if it was just me. I ended up returning it to nintendo and getting a router and it works much better.

Did you try changing the channel on the router to 1 or 11? Worked for me.

Same for me. I had all kinds of trouble with it. I also got a router and have had no problems.

You're going about this the wrong way

You don't use a router AND an adapter to try to boost the signal. What it sounds like you need to do is tune your router to increase your performance. Just like another poster suggested you should switch the channel to your router to 1 or 11. Right now it's probably on 6 and it could have some sort of congestion on that channel. When you move it up or down you raise the chance that it wont have to compete with any other signals floating around.

i have one for my DS. it worked well and i didn't notcie any problems with it cutting out on me or anything, although i situate myself pretty close to my computer anyway. but Verizon sent me a new modem that isn't compatible with the DS or Wii, so until i get my new modem in the mail, i won't know how it works with the wii.

You need a comptabile ISP. AOL and a few others don't work with the usb adapter. AOL there is a workaround but it is fairly technical. I suggest you contact your ISP for one. A router is often better for a lot of people. Any usb device is going to get hot if plugged in long enough and I suspect a lot of people don't have the usb ports on their comp in a well ventilated area.

I have one. It works really well and is only a bit slower than then the router I have at my dad's house. The only weird thing is that it gets really hot after like 5 minutes.

I have it, and I run my Wii and 2 DS's off of it. It works quite well as long as you don't put stuff on top of it.
