I'll probably wait until Amazon starts taking pre-orders, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to put money down at Gamestop just to be safe. I'll do it tomorrow.

i am considering it. I would like to know a bit more, but I will probably get it at launch anyway. I wonder how fast my GS will book its pre-orders? Hmmm...

I have not had an opportunity to pre-order yet as I am living in Poland. I expect some of the big electronics stores here will start doing pre-orders in Feb, and I'll pre-order one.

If there is a midnight launch here in Poland (maybe in Warsaw) then I'll go to it and take pictures.

I'm not going to preorder something I don't know the price of, so nope, not yet. I'm waiting on an official price, and then preordering from Amazon, where I have to put no money down, and will wish for another one of their 99 cent release date delivery promotions.

This. I'm waiting to see if this is true and waiting to see what games are gonna be released launch day before I pre-order it.

I decided I wont pre-order and just wait till Summer to get it.

Even if I don't, I'll live without the 3DS for a few months (I'm sure they'll be sold out for a while); I'll have Pokemon Black to tide me over.

I pre ordered my 3ds last Sunday and I put $300 down on it.

I'm going to wait for an official announcement before I preorder. We should have official information within a month, and we know it's not coming out until March, so there's no hurry.

I am waiting until Jan.19 on the slight possiblity of a bundle deal and of course launch price and colours.

LOL....never a truer statement, indeed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at those that can do that but really now.....how can you throw that much on a system that you don't even KNOW the exact price for?

As others have stated, I'm not doing anything remotely close to preordering until Jan. 19th when I KNOW what the hell I'm throwing my money at (if i choose to preorder at all).

@PumkinBoogie Well 25 or 50 is okay(since it will cost more than that). Besides it's not like he's losing money. As for the guy that put $300. The only negative is that if the console ends up costing 249.99 he will probably get a gift card for the difference, Wich he'll most likely use for a game. So it's not that big of a deal.

True, true...25 or 50 bucks ain't really that bad. And like I said, I don't knock those that want to throw 3 Benjamins on it and what you say is right, they'd probably use whatever difference (if the system is less than 300) on a game. But for me, that's a little too much to throw in the wind on something that I don't have definitive pricing, color, or launch info for. Hell, I can think of a plenty of things to do w/ 300 before the launch of the 3DS (aka bills and/or other household obligations), lol. PumpkinBoogie

So what, I have a job, I work overtime every week I have money to THROW AWAY. And if it costs less, I paid cash, I get cash back....

I personally can't see the wisdom in throwing money at something that, at this time, is so uncertain. I'm going to wait for more concrete information before doing anything.

I dropped $50 on it at Gamestop today. I'll put more on it over time, starting on Friday when I go back out there.

I can, too. I still don't see the point of dropping that much money on a product that, for all intents and purposes, has yet to be officially announced.

I have yet to do so. But I need to get on that! I'll probably go to GameStop. But if Walmart has it the day it's out, there's no point. We don't have ANY game stores in town. And I kind of want mine right awaaaay.

Anyone know how fast the pre-orders are going? I should probably do it, I mean what the heck. I just wanted colors and such before doing so, because then I feel it is more straightforward and GS won't screw up my purchase :P.

Not going to be putting money down on it until I see more information. I will be getting it though.
