I'll be completely honest, I'm not really interested in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Call me a whiner or whatever, I want Capcom to release Street Fighter IV for the Wii.
Anyone else agree with me?

the problem with third strike is that it alienated everybody who wasnt a hardcore street fighter fan. another problem with it is that they put in way too many new characters. thus, it failed sale-wise
Marvel vs Capcom 2 > any 1vs1 Street Fighter game. The sucessor to Marvel vs Capcom 2 > almost any other fighter... by default.

Wasn't that Capcom Vs. SNK?
Didn't that game have to be dumbed down just to be ported onto all three last gen consoles?
No thanks on either account, if arcade shooters can be released on Wii without making them easy then fighters have no reason to as well.
Street Fighter IV was a slap to the face of hardcore fighting fans. They ruined the parry system and replaced depth with flash. I'll be playing Street Fighter III: Third Strike on my Dreamcast until it gets a proper sequel.savebattery
As a long time Street Fighter fan, I must say that I was never the biggest fan of the parry system. I DO want SF to be accessable to newcomers and the parry system is too much of a barrier, besides, you cannot deny the element of luck associated with it. As a gamer, I dont want an element of luck. The parry system is good, but far from great.
SFIV may not be the best SF ever, but it is undoubtedly awesome. The Focus attack does have everything I'm looking for in a such a system. It has depth, can be incoporated into mind games and strategy and it blends in very well with the overall game I believe. Also, since a focus attack is a simple as pushing two buttons, it has the 'easy to learn, tough to master' principle. The depth is still there in SFIV, and calling it a 'slap in the face' is unreasonable, it is simple another take on the SF series, one among many others.
As for the topic, of course it would be good to see SFIV on the wii, but the reason why it wasnt an attractive offer to Capcom from a gameplay perspective: aside from the inferior graphics, the Wiimote + Nunchuck is definetaly not built with this type of game in mind, gamers would need the classic controller to even THINK about playing, or they would have to buy arcade sticks. Besides, Tatsunoko V Capcom, from what I've seen (admitedly not much), looks fine.
Virtua Fighter and The King of Fighters are proof that you can have a successful fighting franchise without dumbing it down. If I wanted a shallow, flashy experience I'd go play Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive.savebattery
& yeah how many new ppl get into them? ...its this kind of elitism that alienates ppl.
SF4 brought new ppl into the game.
Not bothered, alredy hav it on PS3
Just release Tatsunoko vs Capcom for Wii already...
I'm getting SFIV for PC coming out this month, and I'm getting Tatsunoku Vs. Capcom for Wii. Let's just hope we get an arcade stick for TVC to plug into the Wii Remote.

I like to be able to play with as many people as I can, not only the elite.
I disagree I think CvS was much better than MvC it was a better fighter, and while it had a team concept the fights were always 1v1. But I am more than happy with TvC instead of a SFIV portMarvel vs Capcom 2 > any 1vs1 Street Fighter game. The sucessor to Marvel vs Capcom 2 > almost any other fighter... by default.

pppftt if capcom said they are thinking into bringing RE 5 and they stated(check it out) that they might bring SF4 to wii, its you who are unrealistic. Tatsunoko coming to US ,now that was unrealistic. It's not going to come ever. You gotta be realistic.

Sadly.... the only Fighting game I would ever buy again would be Killer Instinct 3. We all know where that would end up, either way.
Street Fighter was cool when "Turbo" was out, but I fell off the bus a long time ago.
ForgetSF4, I want KOF 12 on the Wii. There is no excuse to why the Wii didn't get this game also. It can handle it, they took out most of the characters but it's still about 20 or so. The only issue I have with KOF 12 is that they took out Mai Shiranui. She was my Main Main character. I mean, I played with everybody but Mai was my Main Main character (Or as the japanese sound it out, Kar-ak-a-tou). They Still have Kim, Terry, Andy, Ioriand Kyo though so I can manage. I either want KOF 12 on the Wii or a new KOF 13 on the Wii, both with online play and all.
