I got it pre-ordered at Gamestop too. XD Pretty excited about it, hoping it's as good of a port as 4 and 5 were. I guess it doesn't bug me too much that you can only recruit slime monsters in random battles now, since I do likes me some slimes. Who has time for deep monster taming in a character-based RPG anyway?
ME!!! :3 I want my slime plushie!!! I know its not going to be close to dragon quest IX in terms customization and what not, but hey I like me some rpgs with good story :D I was wondering if you needed to play all the dragon quest games in order to have the story make sense, but to me it seems like they took almost a final fantasy/zelda aproach in a way.. which is great.

yeah, if people are looking for that, they should just pick up DQM Joker.. I was thinking about it since they have it at gamestop for 10 bucks near me.. but I dunno if its good or not.. lol
Man, so many great rpg lately. Just finished dragon quest ix and iv. Havent started V yet, but I'm still planning on buying vI when it comes out. Pre-ordered mine already so I should get that slime:) I still trying to finish Golden Sun right now. I need to put in alot of hrs the next couple of days:)
yup cos im playing sentinels of the starry skies at the mo and love it :) i defo will get more of the series, makes a change of playing pokemon most of the time! shame not more games came out on launch!
Haven't been able to get into the Dragon Quest series. I'm a hater on the old school battle system. and 9 came out last year so I don't see how 6 would be better o.o'

Just because 9 is a newer game doesn't mean it's better. Heck, I liked DQV so much better than DQIX. The idea of creating characters and not letting them have stories really bugs me...
