I'm just going to assume that anyone that says yes is a JRPG fanatic. Not that there aren't any other genres for the system, but it really excels in JRPGs above all. And it just so happens a lot of people get addicted to those.
I too just got a ds lite and am playing it much more than my 360. I'm a tactics fanatic so i'm on tactics a2 as much as possible. I just find more of these games innovative and fun to play. My 360 is great, but really the only great games for it are shooters which get old after a while. The only game I still play almost every other day with my friends is rock band and the dlc is what keeps me coming back to RB. I'm going on a long trip to KC tomorrow for the Rockstar Mayhem Festival, so I know what i'll be doing most of the way there and back. :)
I do. It's because handhelds (nintendo ones..) have much more re-playability, where as the consoles are more focused on graphics, story, etc... crispyo
That's true DS games are really all about content and how the game plays.
I play my DS more than anything else because the only other console we have is a 360 and i only play viva pinata on it and my DS is more conveniant as i can play it in bed without the light waking my little boy up.
The only systems I've even come close to playing as much as my DS are the NES and the GBA. And by 'come close' I mean not by a long shot. My DS is a daily adventure for me. Although I used to go on NES binges for days on end as a kid, I still didn't play it every day as I do my DS.
I definitely play my DS more than any other system I own. The newest generation of consoles brings some amazing graphics enhancements over the last generation, no doubt about it, but once you go beyond that console gaming seems to be more of a been-there-done-that venture for me. It's all the same types of games playing the same way, just looking prettier doing it. The DS brings just enough innovation to the way you play the games, yet it's familiar enough to be easily accessible (a fine line the Wii doesn't walk quite as successfully.) Add to that the wide variety of different types of games and the DS is far and away my favorite and primary gaming system right now.
I DO!!! Simply because games for the DS focus on story, gameplan, and overall how fun the game will be. Where as consoles generally focus more on graphics which isn't something I generally consider to be important to make a good game.
Once I got a 360 I thought i'd never play my DS again, but I was wrong. I seem to be on my DS more than my 360. I guess the DS game addiction just never goes away
