Sakurai didn't say that. He said he would rather work on something of less epic proportions as his next project. However he didn't rule out the possibility of SSB4, though he said the series would get a big overhaul in concept with the 4th installment.
Besides if Sakurai doesn't wanna work on it, doesn't mean nobody will take his place.
i would be much happier if they told us there wasnt going to be another ssb, and then secretly made it, so that people would stop making all the threads about it...
as for sheik... i guess that would be cool, but then zelda would suck

The actual head of the game said that - his name is Sakurai. And this will not be the last one, Sakurai just said it was the last one that he will work on. He said this about Melee as well but Nintendo called him to make Brawl. Nintendo will make Smash games forever!!!!! :P
Upcoming? Do you even know for a fact that there is one coming out? Or even coming out soon? You posted another forum saying "do you think there will be a new one coming out before december", and everyone laughed at you for thinking that. There is not another SSB coming out yet, Brawl isn't even a year old yet. Pls stop posting threads that make people think there's one coming out soon.

Pfft, he has to say that. Brawl sold tons, so they're going to make another one. They would be stupid not to.We won't see it for another 7 years though I'm sure. Melee came out 2001 and Brawl was 2008.
