Mario: first of all, he can jump and Link can't, so mario could just keep jumping over him while Link struggled to keep up with him. Also Mario has all his power-ups, like the cape (so he could dive bomb Link) Mega Mushroom (He could simply crush Link with his foot) and Koopa Shell (spinning around Link in an impenetrable shell, kinda hard to beat)

Peach can pull out a light saber. Peach = Light Saber Link = Master Sword Light Saber > Master Sword Peach > Link lawl... Link's Master Sword only glows in the twilight realm. a Light Saber is always glowing. :P yes, i know... i went completely OT there.
a small fat man who's overweight and as agile as a tank, and whos only way to kill people is by jumping on them and hoping his immense body mass crushes the victim's bones............ or an agile teen who has a sword and a shield and could quite frankly serve mario up as man sushi....or mushi......
Samus. But between those two Link owns Mario all the way. Just think about this, when a fireball reachs Link, 10 arrows reach Mario, and not to mention the ice arrows, so he can froze Mario. Also, Link can became very small (Minish cap), go inside Mario and attack him from the inside like a virus. LINK FTW!
