whos up for a mother4 (earthbound 2)

i am really wanting a mother 4 i loved mother 3 since i got an english patch for there 12 year made game that wasnt released outside japan and earthbound wasnt to bad either still nothing in mother 3's league. so anyone else with this dream?

oh and anyone seen the cool cut scene animation of [spoiler] lucas's dad going mental at his friends with a burning plank of wood after he finds out his wifes dead? [/spoiler] i love that cut scene.

First off WOAH SPOILARZ for those who haven't seen much of Mother 3.

Second, I assume you mean you'd like a Mother 4 for Wii. So yeah, I agree. Not sure if it would work to do a full 3D adventure (though I have seen some awesome fan mock up 3D screens for Mother 3, Wind Waker style) so I could see it being a 2D WiiWare style game.

I'm all for it, though I'd rather Nintendo actually release Mother 1 and 3 in some form, if only the development team weren't so innately hateful of allowing Mother to come over here, they seem to have a huge bug up their butt for the whole thing.

If you are talking a direct sequal to SNES's Earthbound then yes! I loved that game and have been wanting a sequal to it! Not gonna happen, but if it did I would buy a Wii for it! In fact I got an N64 because the sequal was supposed to happen for it......Never saw daylight though.MoonMarvel

Actually, not only has it seen daylight, it's also been released on the GBA.

The trick now is convincing Nintendo to localize it outside of Japan, an idea towards which they have been steadfast in their utter indifference.

there are no sequals really they are all different stories and characters just same style so yea and the one ur talking of is mother 3 which was put onto gba and only way u can get it sadly is downloading the rom and then the englishpatch

Actually, no, they are in fact direct sequels of each other. ;)

[spoiler] Giygas was also the final boss of Mother 1 - albeit still sane at the time - and it's explained through the story of Mother 3 how Porky came to arrive on the islands. Footage from Mother 2 is even directly visible playing in the cinema at New Pork City. It's all one long story; it's just that the connection between each game is not obvious. [/spoiler]

really i havnt played mother 1 so i duno about that but mother 3 takes a wile before u become lucas were as earthbound is just straight ness and stories seem a lil different but yea might be set time era one after otha

neva finished mother 3 since its so long and my data was lost half way in but no sign of either of those characters deffinatly no ness but i dnt know about pokey but yea those are reasons i neva thort they were realy sequals

Not only is Pokey in it; he's the main antagonist. ;)

Ness is not in it, but it's nonetheless a direct sequel in that it's in the same timeline.

How do you get an english patch for a GBA game? Did you play it on the computer, or something?epayps2
