why are there no open world games for wii and why is third party support so crap

so fellow gamespotters had a new thread as to why there are no large scale games for wii.the hd argument is somewhat pointless in the fact that morrowind was made on xbox, gta for ps2 and bully for the wii. also y do third party developers cry about wii sales and yet give them no advertising,be extremly niche,questional quality or major on rails franchises.

what are your thoughts and opinions

About the Wii not having open world games: What about Twilight Princess? :? ... This may be a simple differ in opinion, but I am confused...

Tales of Grace is open world. Not sure if it's coming to NA though :(

I guess they mean sandbox games. They do have a few at least like Scarface. I personally don't like sandbox games because it's too much work to get to do anything fun. It's mostly just walking around finding missions. I guess they should have more though for the people who do like them.

huh? previous fallout games weren't hd and they were open world

vice city and san andreas weren't hd and they were open world

as mentioned previously I do think of Zelda as open world (though they could have stuck more in it I guess) and I even think of Monster Hunter as open world despite it being a bit small. As for crappy 3rd party games I couldn't begin to tell you as I don't pick them up in the first place. My guess is neither do yo TC since you have bothered to make a profile on a gaming website.

yeah that was LAST GEN where the PS2 was the freakin' beast and the Gamecube got ignored despite having the better tech.

1st of all, Godfather, Scarface are both decent open world games, but they are not GTA.(godfather is really good, with a decent story, fun controls, and a lot to do in the city). 2nd, you dont get a Wii to blow people heads off and pick up hookers. Wii is for Nintendo games, and for the great 3rd party niche titles. Muramasa, Littlle kings story, madworld, boy and blob, MH3, No more hereos, are a few of really good 3rd party games that no one played that hold up againist the best on any consoles. Its just that they dont have HD graphics, so alot of people dont play them. da_chub

if you dont played BULLY SE yet i recommend it , its a great sanbox GTA style game but not as mature , great game , one of the beast i played on wii
