its kind of unforgivable, its been a year and i still cant find one. really im not going to get one anymore.footfoe2
So you've been searching for a year and you're giving up now? Why did you even bother trying in the first place?
Did you all of a sudden decide to stop looking for a Wii because the games that you wanted before are gone now? Did they disappear, or are they still the same games you wanted before you gave up?
Also, just so you know, Nintendo is limiting shipments right now so that they can get ready for Brawl's release. After that there will be more available. You still have to look though. Everyone else is doing the same, so you have to keep at it.
nintendo wants to keep the demand high so they make less units to keep it upGames-Sage
Yep this man is correct, Nintendo are not interested in selling units and making cash they just want to look popular to impress the general public and look cool 8). Im certain there is no chance that they are shipping as many Wii's as possible but demand is too high to be met while keeping high standards for the quality and reliability of the product, that would just be plain stupid.

Trust me, I'm pretty sure they want money. They're a business, not Paris Hilton.

Lol. The Wii and DS print money.
if you live in New York city go to Rockefeller Center, they have the Nintendo World Store or something like that
I got my wii on launch day there. At launch they had several thousand wiis and I'm sure they are still well stocked

supply does not effect demand, it effects price. and the time delay in the availability of units, now, can not possibly be positively effecting the Wii's price from nintendos perspective.
it's not hard to come by and wii but you cant expect to go into a store and just get one anytime durning the day. You have to know when the trucks come when, and be there right when they come in. They got in 11wii's monday at my wal-mart and i'm not kidding within 5mins every single one was sold out. You just have to be in teh right spot at the right time.

it's not JUST nintendo wanting to control supply/demand. the wii is popular enough right now that they can make more than x360 and ps3 while still having a high demand.
They are not sold out in Texas. If you know someone, or wanna go on a road trip, or take a southwest airlines flight out there for $50 roundtrip.
Ha that's kinda true. They never seem sold out or maybe it's just Fort Worth because I see the Wii(s) almost everytime at all my local Wal*Mart s.

I was at Walmart to get school supplies ( end of august). The intercom came on and this guy announced that they had about 21 wiis for sale or something around that. I stopped at the electronics departmant about an hour later to look at some games. I went to ask the clerk a question and they said that they were sold out now. Im guessing abunch of people asked because she said this instinctively. So Yeah wait in stores at the electronic department and wait for the guy on the intercom to say they have wiis. yesmana7Well its not like this happens everyday. You would have to see when the shipment comes in rather than wait and wait and wait for days or weeks for them to say "We have more Wii's in. Quick, get your ass down here. First come, first serve and NO PUSHING!!" lol
Reasons Wii is hard to find:
1.*****SSBB*****.. With this comming out all the kids will be asking their rich parents to buy it. Goes for Mario Kart too.
2. Mario Kart
3. Amazing System
4. Demand
5. Its not that they want the system to be so popular and in the news! They are having a hard time producing enough for the demand. Im sorry for the people looking so hard to find the Wii. Best of luck to all of you in finding your Wii. 8)
Once the SSBB comes out it will just increase the demand making it even harder to find one :(
i love the wii but ur right. its pretty much a gamecube with new features so idk how it takes so long to make alot of them.
The reason it takes so long is that nintendo cant get the parts fast enough to fulfill the customers wants and because of the motion sensing capabilitiesi love the wii but ur right. its pretty much a gamecube with new features so idk how it takes so long to make alot of them.
