Several times I've heard counter arguments to 1:1 combat saying that it's too complicated to mimic the motion of the wiimote exactly, hence why swinging the wiimote in any random way is say a diagonal sword swing. However, if you take a look at Wii Baseball, when you're at bat, BEFORE you swing, I've found that it mimics the position of the mote EXACTLY. Tilting the mote to any direction at all is precisely represented in the game. Surely the accuracy of the motion control should be high enough to detect a movement of 20-30cm to any side, which would, paired with the tilt of the wiimote, perfectly display a sword strike. What am I missing?
