[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]It might not be the bestin every situation. It was nice to have more options.I have no idea.
I mean the router option is the best way to get your Wii connnected ot the internet. Maybe they decided why fight with the best option?
aransom
I agree 100% with all of that
I got one, then got a wireless router. Why?
1) Wireless router works for everything, not just nintendo products
2) Wireless routers dont require u to have your pc on
3) Wireless routers are stronger in signal strength
4) Wireless routers are much cheaper, i paid $40 for the wi-fi usb and $17 for a 108mbps wireless router
5) my wi-fi usb has limited range
6) the usb must be jiggled to work (mine anyways) and many friends, and i've heard a lot about this problem, so chance of a defective one
7)You can connect more users to a wireless router cause of higher bandwith
8)there is no password protection if a neighbour has a wii or ds (yes u can deny access but you wont be checking 24/7)
9) My $17 CAD wireless router has 3 years warranty and came with free antivirus software
10) Wireless routers are easier to find
11) they are very easy to use (the wi-fi usb is designed to cash in on stupid ppl or ppl to lazy to do 5 mins of research to see how a wireless router works)
12) most wireless routers have extra wired slots to provide more wired connections to devices that dont use wi-fi like ps2 or 360
13) wireless routers svae electricity because your pc doesnt have to be on all day
14) etc. please dont make me go on and on...
