Thats why i think it will fail. Don't get me wrong, playing as Sonic looks really cool, but the werewolf gameplay looks sooooo disapointing.

It really did look good, but then the Werehog levels were shown. And sadly those Werehog levels are 50% of the game.

well sonic adventure and sonic DX are the same game....likewise with sonic ad 2 and ad 2 battle and really those were the only decent games, they were very flawed though

because everytime a new sonic game is announced people are like "OMFGZZZZ I think sonics finally being made good on 3d, it's like AWESOME and I think I'm gonna feel like I did back in the megadrives. And I loves sonic so much I think it's gonna be like the most fastest thing ever"

then people play it... and it always sucks, even it's 2d offerings aren't worth buying anymore

have you played them? they're pretty overrated... I like the old sonic games, but those are bad replicas of what made them great, with annoying characters added in that no one wants to play as

I have played the first sonic rush, and i hear the second is better. You only play as sonic and blaze in the first one and they're virtually the same so there arent annoying characters you are forced to play as.

No, Sonic Unleashed isn't 2D at all.

It varies throughout the levels. It's partially 2D and partially 3D but what do I know. I've only watched the videos that are publicly available.

There have been a couple so-so 3-D Sonic games, and a couple god-awful 3-D Sonic games. So we're more than likely looking at one of those two options. We can hope Sonic Unleashed will be great, but Sega hasn't done any really fantastic work in awhile.

I personally think if the speed parts in the Sonic Adventure games were brought back and were the main focus of the games, it'd be awesome, because that's the most fun I've had with Sonic in 3-D. Sonic Heroes and Secret Rings weren't bad, and playing as many characters in the Sonic Adventures sucked, but those speed parts were cool, they should've stuck with that idea.

I thought Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and Sonic Adventure DX were the same game as the ones one DreamCast, but with more content? Why are they worse?

Also, I'm not excited for this game at all. It seems like Sonic does most of the whole "moving" thing on his own, but I only watched the first trailer to be fair.

I'm really looking forward to it. It looks great.

What? It's the same as any of the 2D games. Move back, forward, left, right. I'm not sure what you're talking about? I suggest you watch some more trailers and look at some more info before you bash the game. It's fair if you're not interested in it, but you don't seem to know much about it.

Ever since Sonic took the step into full 3-D, the games have been from terrible to fair. The Sonic team never managed to do what Nintendo did with Super Mario 64 - they never managed to adjust to the fact that the games now were in 3-D. I love the old Sonic-games, I play them all the time, and I hate the new ones. The story they present in the new games, the gameplay - the obsession with Sonic having to speed like a maniac through almost every course...it's not good. It's actually really bad.

But...who knows...Sonic Unleashed may be a great game. We Don't Know Yet.

Because the stupid werewolf stuff looks terrible.

Why sega can't just make a 2d sonic platformer with only Sonic, tails and knuckles I'll never know
