Why do you choose a Wii (For people who only have a Wii)

I enjoy Nintendo exclusives more than any other games on the market.

That, along with with the availability of games from previous consoles (NES, SNES, etc.), was more than enough to push me over the edge.

I didn't buy a Wii for only Nintendo games. Yes, it's a reason however I can support 3rd party games. I'll have more 3rd party games than 1st party for sure like all the Nintendo consoles I had before.

I bought it for several reasons:

1. Exclusives

2. Awesome controls [this can fall into several categories]

3. I knew third parties would greatly support the system, shovelware set aside.

The reason i wrote "for people who already have a Wii" is cause most people that own the Wii and another console bought the Wii for its core franchises (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin ect..)

i got wii because:

1. I'm a diehard Super Smash Bros / Mario Kart fan.

2. Wii mote has motion controlls

3. it's the cheapest system.

It had the games I wanted,and the Virtual Console is a big plus for me.Actually,I would keep the console alone just based on its backwards compatibility.VGobbsesser

I dont care about vc, any Nintendo hype or games. In fact i dont even like most of the exklusives like SSBB or Mario Kart.

i have a 360 also but i bought the Wii to play with friends and family,

it's redicculously fun to play with a bucnh of other people.

• Nintendo only systems since N64.
• Wii is a pretty crazy name.
• Motion controls were cool when it came out.
• TP, Excite Truck, and Wii Sports were cool
• Least expensive system at the time (XBOX 360 Arcade is cheaper now)
• Loved Nintendo titles and other cool titles coming out.
• More kid friendly games for my little brother.

I wanted it for Brawl then I figured out it had the most orginial and standout games at the point that I got it which was last year.

Of course Virtual Console also helped. Also I didn't know the Wii used motion controls until I saw it at my cousins house about a month before I got it.

Other:It had the only games that interested me,it was the cheapest back then,motion controls.

Nintendo Brand and I own(ed) every Ninty home console except NES.

I actually regret buying it though. I had went to Best Buy, with my parents ready to buy me a system. I was 11~, and I had just lost my DS and gamecube due to me being robbed. So I went there with the intention to get an Xbox 360, and to buy some random game that I don't remember (it was some shooting game with some girl on the cover) or Fight Night round 3. The days before though, people on Gamespot got me hyped about Wii. This was about 6 montsh before it came out though, around april. Since I still had my Gamecube games, I bought another Gamecube (for $100) and decided I could wait half a year with Gamecube and a new game (Rampage: Total Destruction) and then buy a Wii. I did that. And after I had my fun with Brawl, buying both Madden games, being disapointed with MOH: Vanguard and NFS Carbon, I recently (3 months) started regretting getting a Wii. I want a basketball game. Live 08 was **** and 09 is made for All-Play and has no dynasty, franchise, create stuff, etc.

Now I'm thinking of going to EB Games and changing everything for a 360 and a few good games. The only sucky part is that you have to pay for online.

you were 11 and on gamespot?

The main reason I bought a Wii is because of the Mario games (including sports, kart, party, RPG, and platformer) and the Pikmin games. If I never got Sunshine, the Mario sports and RPG, Pikmin 2, and Pikmin I might not have a Wii right now because they are the games that really got me into the Gamecube.

The second reason is because I was interested in the new motion controls.
