SMG is the same way...and I always thought "why not just press A if we have to press something."
...but I recently rented MP3 and you only have to press A on it. I felt that this was very uncomfortable.
I know, why not press A and 2, or + and -jorgeluisbl
i c wat u did thar
What I wanted to know was why not just one button, instead of 2
Probably so that you are holding the controller right, as opposed to holding it on the side.l8bitz
WIN!!!
My guess is that Nintendothought you might need to go to the bathroom or something. So if your pet presses a button on the controller, it would not start anything.

I thought that when i watched a vid of tp(way before i got a wii)
it said Press a and b to start
i was like wtf???/ but when you actually use it it makes perfect sense
because people that don't know where the 'b' button is shouldn't play the game...
that's my theory

Mine too. Whenever I get someone new to play Wii Sports, and they have to press A and B to start a game, they always say, "where's the B button?" It's a good way to introduce the "hidden" button before the game starts.

Yeah, that's the first thing I heard from my friends and relatives when we played wii sports.
