Why E3 2007 Does Not Spell D00M3D for Nintendo! I think you guys will like this

I wrote this because I feel some people need perspective on the issue.

Only an idiot would say that Nintendo was doomed, have they not heard the general media has deemed Nintendo the E3 victor. People dont understand anything, therefore they should not comment on the subject until they get sufficent knowledge of what they are commenting on. Its very simple, E3 is the only gaming event in which the general media mixes with the industry media. and especially with this new E3 format, they have an even heavier presence there. All the big three knew that, therefore you didnt see the typical E3 guns blazing atmosphere that it is known for. They all stuck to what people already know about, and tried to appeal to the mass market, using the mass media.

You wont find the mass media at events like GDC, or a Spaceworld type event, or TGS or something, that is strictly the gaming industry and is the new place you should look to for that old E3 style, the new E3 is the best place to reach the mass public and they all made an attempt to do it.

I agree, I was hoping for a new starfox this year, but I didn't get it. (Nor an announcment about Sonic in SSBB )

But I don't think that this was the worst E3 for Nintendo, I believe that 03 was the worst. Remember Pac-Man Vs. ......ohhhh it gives me chills to this day.

The best E3 was one year later at E3 04. Reggie came to the stage and brought out the greatness of the DS, along with primere footage of MP2, Starfox, RE4, and ended it all with a legendary video of Zelda. Yeah, ...those were the days.

Umm... that is like the worst written article I've ever seen. It pretty much says "Nintendo did the worst at E3.... Nintendo showed really cool stuff at E3.... The other guys did good too, but Nintendo showed off a whole lot. Yep, Nintendo sure was the worst." WTF?

I think Nintendo was the only one of the three companies that actually unveiled new stuff worth paying attention to. Or new stuff at all. Where I think they had a huge mis-step was devoting so much time to Wii Fit as a show-closer. They acted like it was a huge announcement, when the audience was clearly underwhelmed. Not that Wii Fit won't be interesting, but I think it's more the three-punch combo of Fit, Zapper, and Wheel that made the conference cool. (In all fairness, MS and Sony did well too, but I learned nothing new from any of their announcements.)
