I think IGN has given it an 8... this is classic Gamespot though...the game companies must love them though because alot of people will go out and but the title in that first week or two before it gets reviewed if they're a Shrek fan or whatever and then the game gets a 5 or something like that. I don't know why they can't review when it comes out the way movie reviews are done the day of the release...I mean they could write the review WHILE they're at Starbucks.mtburdell
Well, honestly, that's not a very fair comparison. A movie critic spends one to three hours watching a movie before he writes his review. A game critic, on the other hand must spend at least five hours (on really short games) to twenty, thirty, even fourty plus hours depending on which game it is before he writes his review.
That being said, I still think they could've had this review out sooner. I highly doubt this game is *that* long. :P
That is a good point. Like you said though it does seem like they could be a little quicker.--------Also with movies I think the reviewers often get advance screenings and I don't know if this is the case with games or not. That's also in their defense but overall it does seem like IGN usually puts out the reviews quite a bit sooner than GS.mtburdell
I believe that places like Gamespot and IGN are sometimes given advance copies of games, but I'd assume it happens much less frequently than with movie critics being shown advance showings of movies.
I have been waiting for the review to be written for days now as I am fairly interested in playing it. I wonder what takes them so long, even though I know they have lots of games to review this time of the year.Lance_C
Same. I am considering this or mario kart. I know IGN gave it an 8, but i still want to know what gamspot gives it. Gamespot i have noticed is a little harsher on games i like (just look at SSX Blur or Medal Of Honor Vangaurd Wii).

Mario Kart will give you a lot more bang for your buck IMO by a landslide. Brothers in Arms has no online and the single player campaign can be beaten in 5-6 hours. It has multi-cart local play though which I have yet to try.
