Why I should get a DSi...

Well to start off about 5 months ago i gave my wii to my aunt so she could enjoy it. about 12 months ago i sold my DS lite and here is why.

I played just about every decent game on the ds and i mean everyone of them (except for a few RPG's).

I could not import due to high costs. (I did get OUENDAN 2).

Guitar hero is one of my favs. Too bad the ds one I hated.

I got 120$ with 2 games elite beat agents and LoZ: Phantom hourglass. A case headphones and a game case. And a ds lite. Not bad since i only had to pay 40$ to get the ds lite after trade ins (including my original DS).

I have an Xbox360 and PS2. I have been tempted so many times to sell my ps2 but never got around to it. I love portable gaming but as i am (14 for an age range) I do not have many assets.

Some things that I know why i would want it.

1. Video (tv shows ) I would like this to be confirmed if it is possible (I may consider starting an itunes account).

2. Music I use my phone for this and yes it is good at playing music I hate the speaker quality if I want my friends to listen to it and it's volume is limited to a very small sections (6 to be exact).

3. I have been considering an Ipod touch even though i somewhat hate them for the touch screen with fingers. Because Applications and small games like ones off of a website (addictingames For an example). And applications like jelly car or something might be pretty fun with the dsi.

4. All the hardware has improved MASIVELY. I consider my self a tech freak so this is pretty important.

5. This is one of the main reasons. I do not have a computer of my own and cannot have one in my room. With this I can browse at my own leisure.

^^ 6. This will somewhat frustrate me greatly if the above does not support you tube or video (you know what i mean) still.

7. Screen size is even bigger then it was.

8. Games (while these are in no particular order this is probably last in a sense) there MIGHT be some games out that i MIGHT like (I am would love reccomendations.

Some cons

I may be lacking in the game department.

they may make a new handheld but i would like an estimate of that when.

it is a lot more expensive considering the fact the 60gb 360 is dropping down to 250 and arcade likely to even lower then it already is.

While I am just considering it.

Here is what i want you to tell me.

Give me some reasons of why i should get it and how it is worth the money.

Tell me some good games that i will like probably from last summer onward (it can be games that are not out too).

(I like shooters/ Rpg's/ stratedgy/ adventure/ action /platformers /racing games like granturismo (aka customizeable cars etc...))

Tell me about some of the applications.

Confirm the things about youtube and video on browser.

and also can i watch video off an sd card.

About the DSi programs and all the other stuff i don't know much, i'm a bit outside of these things, but maybe it's possible that any of the apps play videos.

Beside the DS are getting a handsome number of rpgs this year, these include valkyrie profile, suikoden, super robot taisen OG saga, mario and luigi rpg 3, summon night X and others.

For your purposes, I would highly suggest buying a ipod touch or a psp. It sounds like you are looking for a device that above all has solid multimedia potential (i.e. wanting video, solid web browser, music ect.) Despite the fact that the dsi has certain multimedia elements (a primitive web browser [lacks video support by my understanding], a music player) by and large it lacks the refinement of a psp or ipod. The dsi will remain for games and for the most part only games (which is the reason I will love it.) If you want a web browser, video, music, apps, some addicting games and all that jazz go for the ipod touch. If you want some good action high graphic games with O.K. webbrowser, music, and video go for the psp. If you want truly outstanding games (I.M.O) and a minimalistic webbrowser and music player go for the dsi all the way.

by this TC will be better with a Ipod Touch..... play video, music and browsing better than a PSP......

can it play/download wirelessly with and from the old DS? that is my question...hyogen
