I think that SEGA is the best developer for the wii, because they make crap and paint it gold to the point where there will ALWAYS be a good population of people who will buy and LIKE itNow, believe it or not, im not a big fan of SEGA since they quit the console wars, i think that alot of the wii titles they have had their names on are not that good.

Good example, is sonic and the secret rings. the game was clearly trash, yet somehow, it develops this amazingly strong fanbase for it, soley on the premise that its unique and original. the controls were sloppy and that song that played over and over (you all know the one) was suicide-inducing. but like i said, SEGA painted that crap gold with a quirky story and well, its got sonic, so insta-win.

The people who enjoy these games and fight for them to the death are the reason why SEGA continues on for the wii. SEGA realizes that wii owners are ungrateful beings and they continue to give us what we want, even if its not their work.

good example? the conduit. high voltage has been raving about this game since the begining, building up tons of hype for it, but then SEGA comes along and is like "oh hi there, let me see that! ** puts name on it**" and now people will associate it with SEGA.

Sonic unleashed gave people hope for sonic. the daytime levels being quite good and fun, which is just what the sonic regulars needed after the secret rings disaster. the wii version being the best version, is clear proof that SEGA is better for us wii owners, because a multi-plat game was BEST on wii.

SEGA has managed to break the race barrier with a little ditty called madworld, with the educational value to stear our kids away from racism, using visualisations that jus scream " no matter whether you're black or white, everyone is red inside", which is just what people need during these hard times.

House of the dead series is SEGAs way of showing us that we dont NEED to waste gas to go to an arcade to blow quarters on a game that now, we can play at HOME! SEGA is trying to solve the energy crisis one household at a time by releasing the light gun games we know and love in a plastic case, available to play on our little wite box, not on the other consoles though, they ruin the earth.

The bottom line is that SEGA is that guy at work who never does anything but keeps getting promotions. They somehow manage to give us what we want in the end, meeting our ever-so-picky needs, without needing to try that hard, is what we wii owners really need, thank you SEGA, and please, keep doing what you do.

I'm having a bit of a hard time determining whether this is sarcasm or genuine truth. Or both, perhaps.

What? Secret Rings was not trash. It was the best 3D sonic game since adventure battle. The only problem with it was the music and the cut scenes. Controls were fine once you got used to them, like with any new device.

i had fun with sonic unleased when i rented it! but that only incudes the 10 minuet day part where i spent a boring 30 min. on the night part and threw it on the ground and returned it the next day! I think sega needs some new president or something because frankly (yes i said frankly) they have been down the drain with a lot of their titles (mainly sonic). segamanages not to listen to the opinions that matter...and create a mushy stinky gold (or perhapes its crap spray painted goldwith Sonic written on it). How is it sonic has very few good games that were i believe over 10 years ago and still able to sell the way it does???

Seriously, with Sega developed titles, just slap Sonic the Hedgehog on it and it WILL sell. That's how awesome Sega's marketing has become. It selling very strong again, like its time back in the Sega consoles. The difference was, most of the titles on Sega consoles were extraordinary, unlike today's titles. However, that doesn't mean I want Sega to leave Nintendo, because that would be worst thing that could happen. I definitely support both Sega developed/published titles.

its not marketting , its brand recognition. You can make anything with Mario and it will sell, no marketting required. Sonic is among most tradtional mascots with a fanbase growing since the 90ths, so its easy to sell.On the original post, is not like sega can pop and people will love it. It wouldnt explain why Sonic magic rings sold better and is better categorized than black knight. they do need quality to get things running, they can make a bad game here and then but they wont survive on that. Im not sure of they are the best developer, maybe best 3rd party publisher, but the certainly come up there as top developer teams for wii.

The brand recognition could not have been done without marketing it first. Sega is definitely not the best 3rd party developer for any console in quality, but they sure are making a statement either way, not in quality but its franchises and its publishing support for Wii.

what you say about mario and sonic is true but nintendo hasnt done that yet mario 64,sunshine and smg have all been AAA quilty titles(this does not count mario party etc because those games are not made by nintendo he just appears in them)

This man speaks the truth. Sometimes I've had trouble with backing up and switching rails, but they were minor control hiccups. Either way, the game was definitely not trash. And shaking the remote for homing attack was hella fun.

I actually do support SEGA whole-heartedly, but, like many other publishers they have released their fair share of crap, which always has to be recognized, to be fair.

Yes, but I'd say titles like ghost squad are more deserving of being called 'crap' than the games you listed lol

I'm happy with their games!! but they should put all their efforts on the Wii..

I loved Madworld!! but it only last about 10 hours (completing it twice), really disappointing if you ask me but at least they got the idea

What about Marvelous entrainment/rising star game? they are at the top too (NMH, LKS, RuneFactory)

Lets wait to The Conduit & Lets tap to judge, but at the momment I agree that Sega is the best developer (and the smart one) for the Wii beside Ninty

Yeah. I found the game frustrating at times, but it is really fun to play. Had I more time to actually play and tinker with the controls, I'm sure I would be able to play the game like this guy:

Except for the first hours, Secret Rings was the first good 3D Sonicgame since Adventure 2.

Also, there's another company which easily destroys SEGA and any other 3rd parties on Wii.

hint : Rune Factory Frontier, Little King's Story, No More Heroes, No More Heroes Desperate Struggle, Arc Rise Fantasia, Muramasa The Demon Blade.

Marvelous Entertainment = love

Sega is good for gaming, they have always developed some decent titles throughout the years. Madworld is an example of this. more people need to buy it. its great.

For the most part. I mean, there are an assload of **** games but there are games way worse than Sonic and the Secret Rings. Games crappy enough to make you appreciate Sonic and the Secret Rings. A lot of people have a certain mindset going into a game. Like, if they think a game is going to suck, it might suck for them. But if they're willing to give it a try then it might not be as bad.
